I always assumed that unions where a honored group due to the role they played in bringing down communism.
It is interesting to read what you wrote as I am an American with Polish heritage and love Polish history but haven't really payed attention to the country for the past 10-15 years.
Actually people should continue making shitty file sharing services and basing them in the US. That way the *IAA's of this world can feel like they're winning even as they are completely unable to do anything about torrent....And while you're at it, make those programs easier to use than torrent, so all the newbies make them popular and it seems like BIG NEWS when one gets whacked on the head with a hammer!
Then we can make the first rule "You do not talk about usen**, I mean torrents"
I just downloaded Vegas this week to try on my computer. I will probably buy it this weekend but wanted to make sure it worked on my PC. I always test games before I buy them when it is for my PC
Last time I bought it for the ps3, played it all the way through, then found about about all the mods. I download the GOTY addition, checked how it ran, and went out and bought the PC GOTY edition. It is probably the only game I bought twice.
I am thinking of grabbing mass effect, first, though, since las vegas feels a lot like fallout 3 and I just came off fallout 3 after 2 or 3 months of playing solely that game. I need to get a wirless keyboard and mouse first, though, since Mass Effect doesn't support the 360 controller (I use my Logitech controller and emulate it as a 360:))
Use Rekonq instead of Konqueror. It's based on Chromium.
It is based on webkit, not chromium.
rekonq is a KDE browser based on Webkit. Its code is based on Nokia QtDemoBrowser, just like Arora. Anyway its implementation is going to embrace KDE technologies to have a full-featured KDE web browser.
I hope they eventually reach their goal of suppporting chrome extensions.
I guess my only issue is whether the gnome meta-package pulls in gnome-shell or unity. The ubuntu-desktop package can include whatever combo they want,
By your logic, I guess we need to check which subversion (or git) revision Chrome is on to get a real version number.
Most updates to IE in windows updates are bug fixes. Same is true for Chrome which is why neither project gets version numbers the way you are suggesting.
Sparkbrowser, unlike Internet Exploere and Firefox has every feature that is needed on the control panel, Sparkbrowser tracks your clicks, and search preferences to give you a better more personalized browsing eperience.
If you are weary of your privacy and believe that sparkbrowser has invaded your privacy, you probably should have read the terms of use before you downloaded it.
At least they are upfront about it but since there is no "do no evil" pledge, I will have to pass.
It took MS how long? And they still only develop for 1 OS.
IE9 is useless for me as I use Chromium at home and IE 6 (don't have a choice) at work. The only way IE9 will be relevant for me is if websites take the opportunity to actually work based on standards compliance rather than browser ids.
For example, when I try to pay my time warner bill with chrome, I get a page that says I can only use firefox or IE.
Yeah, it's their right to keep the name, if the open source people really want to prove that open source is better anyway they should just make the fork better and let the market decide. It was also pointed out that the name actually sucks so maybe this is really a good thing, as long as they don't use that gay LibreOffice name.
I actually like the name LibreOffice more than OpenOffice. Also, a new name gives them a chance to shed the negative baggage that was associated with the OpenOffice name while still being able to point back to it for creditability.
A perfect example of an event so rare that it should never be used as a reason for a policy. Terrorist acts are just not that hard. Highway deaths are the equivalent of a 9/11 every few months. Random chance is better at killing people here than terrorists are.
Maybe the reason your statement is true, is because they are preventing more killings on US soil.
Would you please use caps lock more so I can be absolutely sure that you are a nut?
I don't get how newspaper can endorse candidates and claim to be neutral parties that are interested in reporting the truth.
The New York Times would not need to donate money since they are publishing the "facts" and decides what gets printed.

Stop it! We already lost newsbin.

I quoted from their web site. It is based on QtDemoBrowser

That is why I have trouble leaving Debian.
Most distros customize and take too many liberties with my desktop. If I install Gnome or KDE, I should get the same thing on any distro.
I get changing the theme or putting your logo on the application menu, but the window manager?
Are the numbers interchangeable in the repos with the distrubuition names? I have never tried but now I am curious.
So you are upset that KDE is not a copy of basically Windows XP/MacOS/Solaris/every other GUI?
How far we have come. When I started using linux, the complaint was that KDE was "just" a badly implemented copy of windows.
If I could get last pass to work with Konqueror, I would drop Chromium. That - and handbrake - are the only non-kde program that I daily use.
Nice to see you not refute anything AC said.
Conseravtive does not equal anti-personal rights
I don't see anymore adds with the default setting with Adblock for chrome than I do for adblock plus for firefox.
Granted, this is just my experience and I am sure that you have many example that you could share but felt that there was no need to.
I don't see any adds on slashdot, fox, cnn, gmail, sourceforge, rapidshare, imdb, etc in chrome.
By your logic, I guess we need to check which subversion (or git) revision Chrome is on to get a real version number.

I don't know why everyone on slashdot seems to give him a free pass
I don't know what comment threshold you browse at to think that EVERYONE (or even close to that) gives Jobs a free pass.
They made the toys with money provide by the government.
People need to remember who they work for and look for a new employer if they don't like the conditions.
I just re-watched these from netflix. I am going to watch Jack of All Trades next.

Dollhouse did suck. It only lasted two seasons as an apology for Firefly

Sadly Google Chrome doesn't support TLS (no friggin idea why) so server will negotitate down to the less secure SSL v2 or SSL v1 standard.
IE 8 or later, Firefox 2.0 or later. and Safari (no idea what version) all support TLS but obviously google thinks security is over-rated.
You are wrong but I can see why you would think that by looking at the Options section in chrome
Per Google employee lan Ian Ian
We explicitly disable SSLv2 (along with MD2 and MD4 certificate signatures). SSL3/TLS1 are enabled by default. It is automatic and hidden.
