How often do you have to drive hundreds of miles? As a daily commuter, cars like these are perfect. I will NEVER have to go to a gas station unless I'm going out of town with my gas rental car. Just think of the time you'll save not having to go to the gas station.
And since an electric motor is far more efficient, you don't need a "200 hp" motor to power your car to get decent performance. A 200 HP motor would tear your transmission apart.
