I don't get it.. when I read the article I was thinkin', "That would be cool." But most of you posters seem to think otherwise. I don't see why.... Maybe because I'm a recent Linux convert still trying to get along without Windows aps....
Does anyone know how restricted MainSoft's use of Windows source code is?
I don't know much about marketing and stuff.. but it seems to me that when you get MONEY for SOMETHING YOU ADVERTISED.. you ship it. Am I missing something here?
Oh, YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAH, like "a space-to-planet cable that could serve as the basis for an inexpensive and highly efficent launching system" is an original idea.:P Someone's read 3001, obviously.:D
To be completely honest, I am not an Open Source Zealot. The only reason I support Linux is because it's NO WHERE near as crash-prone as Windows. I don't doubt that Solaris is just as stable.
I have a tremendous deal or respect for Sun. If they were to say, usurp this "monopoly" from Microsoft, I seriously would NOT care. Why not? Because it's not the monopoly that bothers me. If Sun can get a product that WORKS to dominate the market, more power to 'em.

Ah. Even worse. Advertising something THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK AS ITS SUPPOSED TO!

But that's me.
