While we appreciate the information, recycling a story every four months is rather counter-productive. The BBC article was dated 15 March 2006 on the same day that the paper was delivered at the Fourth Annual IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications (PerCom) in Pisa, IT.
The AIM Global RFID Experts Group (REG) were meeting at the same time in Kyoto that the paper was presented. We respectfully request that Slashdot readers take the opportunity to read our response and proceed with any other questions that you might have on this technology. Our response is posted at
