  1. Yeah, well, lasers are a young science... on US Congress Funds Laser Weapons · · Score: 1

I thought for nanosecond that I might get the first shark joke in. I was so sadly mistaken. Should have known better. I could jump on the FoxNews or CNN forum with a shark joke and sound witty.

  3. SQL Injection? At this hour? on SQL Injection Turns BusinessWeek Into Viral Replicator · · Score: 2, Insightful

I can't believe in this day and age something as lame as sql injection is still happening, especially to large company websites. Anyone using inline SQL should be taken out back and ridiculed until they cry. If your developers are mindless enough not to validiate user input then at least use stored procedures.

True, I like to use my wife's machine for testing. Its messed up enough to where I can get some real world testing done on it.

  5. IE6 and IE7 on same machine on Users and Web Developers Vent Over IE7 · · Score: 1

Another kick in the face for developers is that to test a web page properly you need to test in all browers and Microsoft makes it a pain in the ass to run both browsers on the same machine. You are better off leaving IE6 on your machine and testing your pages in Firefox since the majority of pages will render similiarly in IE7 and Firefox.

  7. Looked good at first on No Third-party Apps on iPhone Says Jobs · · Score: 1

I liked the iPhone at first glance but after hearing more about it I'm becoming less thrilled about it. I'm a developer and I want to have the ability to write apps for my next phone. Can't do crap with my current phone. I was initially attracted to the fact that OS X was going to be running on it but if its locked down then big deal. Nowadays gadgets that are open or at least easily hackable are going to sell faster that a locked down brick that will only run what some fool in a board room somewhere decides it will.

  8. Almost seems unethical not to on Stem Cell Bill Passes in Australia · · Score: 1

Seems unethical not to use the cells for a good purpose that will someday save lives. It seems like a waste not to.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess? :/
