It's times like this that I'm glad that I use offlineimap:* http://freshmeat.net/projects/offlineimap/This is an excellent script for syncing your computer with an external imap account. Works incredibly well with Mutt.Also, email readers like Thunderbird have an offline setting that allows you to create a copy of your mail on your dekstop.
