I find myself to be in the exact same boat. When people confront me about why I don't/didn't vote, we just end up arguing. Quite frankly, I'm tired of it--especially because I'm in an environment (college campus) where individuals are bombarded with phrases such as "Vote or die!" by gung-ho, politically-minded people.
What's funny is that when people tell me to vote, they almost always mention Bush and how he is an absolute idiot. I ask them, "Why is Bush an idiot?" and the conversation almost always ends. DON'T VOTE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!!!! That's my philosophy, anyway.
