Comet Holmes is also bigger than the moon as well. I took a pair of images the other night. One of the comet and the other of the moon. I then stitched them together using GIMP. As you can easily see, this comet has become huge. http://www.adventuresinastrophotography.com/2007/11/19/comet-holmes-bigger-than-the-moon/ This is an object that can be seen with the unaided eye. It looks pretty nice in binoculars and amazing in a telescope.
