by abolishing the 7th bit (that one that says that a letter should be lowercase) of every byte we reach a uniform representation of ascii text a n d easily save 12.5% of todays bandwith. capslock a n d the shift key won't be needed anymore.
you say that bit is needed for special characters or numbers or whatever -- pah, mankind has solved bigger problems than this.
