A few clarifications....
1. While multiple distros are in use, a school district typically uses a single distro.
2. Most schools are using the KDE desktop and not GNOME on all distros.
3. By the end of this school year, approximately 80,000 students in Indiana high schools will be using open-source software, including Linux.
The discussion has been fascinating....and yes...we have learned a lot.
