I know it's unfashionable to say so, but it seems to me that there's an obvious progression of skill and maturity from Episodes 1 - 3. Episode 1 is, admittedly, awkwardly scripted and acted and is almost painful to watch. Episode 2 brought some of the serial-esque cliffanger storytelling back to the series, and Episode 3, I would argue, is a well-paced, emotionally-resonant film.
