I seems when you were attempting to act smart you forgot to mention that the force of gravity actually does increase with more mass. The acceleration might stay the same, but that's because it requires more force acting on a heavier mass to produce the same acceleration. But then again, I don't know why I'm feeding a troll anyway.
Sometimes, you're at a friend's house who doesn't trust you enough to let you install a new browser. Sometimes you work at a job that won't allow you to install anything new. Sometimes you work on a government computer and it just isn't an option to use something different.
And like it or not, windows is on too many machines in the world. Its almost impossible to get away with not using it at all. Now at least web browsing with it will be a little easier no matter where you are.
Look at it this way, now when you use a computer that for whatever reason you can't install Firefox on, you will at least have a half way modern browser rather than the piece of trash that is IE6.
If you had read more carefuly, you would have seen that the performance increase with their NIC gave you more bang for the buck that spending that much on a video card.
