An identical story about the Belkin hub was previously covered. According to an early July report from Belkin, their product is due in September.
"... first ever commercial application for UWB ever announced" seemed a little misleading, but I guess it could be technically correct. Wireless USB hubs may be the first announced application of UWB, but seems like Y-E Data did not announce (nor will they ship) the first UWB product.
