bluetooth is GREAT for remote controls... first of all you don't need line of sight to the receiver, and the latency and responsiveness are at least 5 times as good as IR... i recently got the bluetooth slide remote for tivo and didn't even realize how slow my IR remote was to respond until things started working like they should with bluetooth.
it must be just as hard to identify extremely common items... i always carry this knife with me... it's the biggest legal blade with legal switchblade action... i had forgot to take it out of my pocket and put it in my checked bag. as my checked bag was sitting right behind the desk, i asked the cashier to give me my bag back for a second as i had forgot to put something in it, but she played idiot and said it wasn't possible to let me touch my bag again... so retarded... NO JUSTIFICATION FOR THIS RULE... i put the knife in my backpack and went right through security with no problems.
uhhhh... i have 3 tivos... i can view any show on any device from any device. they all show up in the same central "now playing" list.
also, every HDMI jack in my house has a loopback to a receiver fed back to every room... why trust the device providing the signal to distribute the signal? they are completely separate tasks. either way, my install can do it either way equally as well, and i've never found myself wanting with any tivo device.
i also just got the new illuminated bluetooth qwerty slide remote... the reduction in latency is incredible... the tivos feel 5 times as fast because of the increased responsiveness.
mine too... i get every channel... a few more than your cable company offers... they've been doing it without tuning adapters for many years. i also have 60Mbps down / 5Mbps up internet that has worked without tuning adapters. i have 3 multi-stream cablecards and a rented dvr... i am often receiving 6 HD streams at once while streaming up a 720p webcam with crystal clear audio to a rebroadcaster with no additional compression.
it already works. again: TUNING ADAPTERS ARE A PURE PLAY AGAINST PIRACY AT THE EXPENSE OF SUBSCRIBERS.
the existence of tuning adapters does not provide any new feature to me... it creates a liability if i don't use it, and all the while i am left to pay to store and power it.
you obviously don't know much about bandwidth, and have fallen for the lies provided to you... everyone still must be able to receive every channel they pay for at any time. the required bandwidth is fixed. nothing is saved. it is a pure play against piracy at the expense of subscribers.
i have never had to pay a restocking fee or pay for return shipping...
as i limited my results to products only sold by the very site you are posting on to point out how ubiquitous they were.
the only problem with someone owning technology that doesn't fit their needs is THEMSELVES. if you require a specialized interface, then FIND A PRODUCT THAT PROVIDES IT. you are simply complaining that you are unable to find it. i assure you, it exists. there are people who would make it hard to find because they stand to lose if widespread public knowledge of a source would hurt them.... i'm somewhat convinced you are one such person.

they still have warehouses around the world full of big boxes full of smaller boxes full of products that consumers would not buy if they only had access to a different product. do you think any big-box retailer is going to offer that new product?

they cut off the signal if i don't use it... it doesn't save them any bandwidth, they just don't utilize the bandwidth to thwart signal pirates.
