Try DirectPC or StarBand. It's Internet access via a Satellite Dish. This is made for your type of situation. There are solutions for people who own yahtts so I am sure it'll do just fine for you.
For me. College has been a place where I get to network and learn from other nerds. Also, I get some hands on learning opporunities through computer equipment & a network connections I normally wouldn't have. (Too bad I don't get a grade for that) Although I think 95% of college is BS..... something like college is needed so we can get to resources that help us expand our knowledge.

Radio and will always be around. How else are you going to know what's new and hot if you are playing MP3's that were in 3 years ago.
