Re:Client GUI Tools?

Re:I would but...
I'm a SQL Server DBA.
Install the free Aqua Data Studio database admin tool.
My parents would but they do not like change. They had enough issues upgrading from Windows 98 to Windows XP.
This is more a matter of social engineering. Some people fear change, while other are taught only applications, not resourceful thinking.
My brother would but he plays WoW and he is not texh savy to get OSX to run on his PC.
Take the same WOW cds and put into your Mac. Double-click the install icon. Did you forget that WOW (and pretty much every Blizzard title) is cross-platform? ... enjoy! -

Re:Negligleable performace hit my...Eclipse use SWT, so it doesn't count. OpenOffice is written in C, so it doesn't count either.
Some better examples of fast Java apps would be: IntelliJ IDEA or Aqua Data Studio.

Re:Dual boot laptopa) I can't work on Microsoft products like SQL Server on a Mac
Have you ever heard of Aqua Data Studio or thought of using MS Remote Desktop Client for OSX?
b) The Mac only has a few games, compared to the PCAre games really that important to you? But there are games like WOW, WCIII.WCIIIFT, Doom 3. Quake 4, UT2k3, UT2k4 etc...
We have less games but we also have less crap games as a result. Next time you troll make sure you try a little harder.

Re:Anyone know of a good free MySQL GUI?Aqua Studio is some good stuff. I haven't used it for MySQL but it's an option when registering a new database. Aqua is available "for personal use only" so not quite "free."
OS: Windows, Linux, OSX, Solaris
RDBMS: Oracle, DB2 UDB, MS SQL Server, Sybase, Informix, Postgresql, MySQL

Re:Two things stand out
ree and does by far more than the dateddino...
1. DataDino and Aqua are both "free". Except that Aqua is only "free" for personal use, while DD is "free" for commercial. There's just fewer features activated.
2. Last I checked, Aqua only did SQL queries. DataDino works a little different. It also has the ability to run queries (in the pay version), but it can also browse the data, reverse engineer table source, display relationships, etc. Basically, they're very different products.
BTW, the price list for Aqua is here: http://www.aquafold.com/licensing.html
