    I hope this leads to some new technology that other companies will use to develop a better web browser for PDA's. I've yet to come across one that displays pages the way they are supposed to look, unless specifically rewritten for these devices. http://www.aximsite.com/ look tremendous on a small screen, but one like http://www.digg.com/ looks horrible. Large amounts of white space, words not lining up, etc. Im guessing it may have something to do with the css that digg and many other sites are now using.

    Speaking of, my Dell Axim x50 PocketPC can play all flavors of audio (MP3, Ogg Vorbis, Flac, WAV, what-have-you), video (MPEG-2, MPEG-4 in the form of DivX and XviD - and in a bigger screen and 4 times the resolution of the iPod at that), has a built-in calendar, can browse the web, receive e-mails, chat over multiple IM protocols, and can make VOIP calls using Skype's PocketPC client and the built in wifi. It's just missing a camera...although, I could buy this one.

    It doesn't have a HDD in the 10s of GB (just a 2.5GB microdrive I bought for it), but that wasn't in your list. It's "all-in-one" enough for me! =D

    reading ebooks every single day... in bed, on the couch, on the can: uBook
    keeping track of miscellaneous bits of info (eg, project shopping lists): Noterrific
    Listening to my MP3 collection, via earphones, over WLAN, while reading in bed: BetaPlayer
    scientific calculator: Calc98
    Getting online (via T-mo GSM phone & Bluetooth) anytime, anywhere. (In other words, I have Yahoo Yellow Pages in my pocket.)
    All of my contacts and appointments kept in sync with home & work desktops: organizer software is built in but I bought Pocket Informant
    Various games, of course
    Keeping track of how much I spend on lunch: Pocket Excel
    Taking notes in meetings: PhatPad
    Storing every single number and password that plagues my life in a secure format: eWallet

    Sure, it isn't as good as a laptop, but I can (and do) take it everywhere.

    I am upgrading to one of the new VGA models shortly after they hit the streets. I have my eye on the Dell Axim X50V, which has specs similar to the HP 4700, but is less expensive.

    I can't imagine not owning a nice PDA.

    The Tunsten has something of a reptutation for destroying memory cards. Check out this list of problems encountered using different cards in different machines.

    Note that in the Tungsten T3 only 1 out of 7 tested cards actually survived the ordeal! Of course, this particular test isn't scientific, but it is based on real user feedback really using them for real things, so it's probably worth a read.
