Re:Hanlon's Bane Smashes Hanlon's Razor To Bitty B
Never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by stupidity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon's_razor
Why is it that people keep naively quoting Hanlon's Razor as if it *isn't* just a codification of the kind of foolish trust that is eminently vulnerable to Hanlon's Bane?
"Never *admit* to malice which can be explained as stupidity.'
This being the main reason malice 'data points' are harder to come by.
You make an excellent point. One must also remember that malice and stupidity are not mutually exclusive. See, e.g., Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. But I think that here on Slashdot, we have an established record of simple ignorance.

Re:select * from subjects where content = 'witty'
Liberals can certainly defend their positions with legitimate arguments, but generally don't.
And you went to a "major university"? Do they give refunds?
I'm not basing this on the internet per se, although that is highly relevant in this day and age. My opinions are based on the 2004 Republican National Convention protests. The nuts handing out political fliers all over the city.
Well, it's a good thing that conservatives never do crazy stuff like that.
Propaganda produced by the likes of Michael Moore.
I applaud your even-handed assault on divisive political propaganda.
My own education in a major university.
I'm going to guess that you majored in something technical and didn't spend much time in classes that discuss public policy. Getting the flavor of academic political analysis based on fliers and student club activities doesn't count.
The endless parade of media personalities.
Again, a landscape entirely dominated by liberals.
Lets not forget the hordes of hipsters with their "I hate Republicans" signs, clothing, and tattoos.
I can't imagine conservatives being so crass.
We even have anti-conservative graffiti here in NYC.
Ah, yes, vandalism. A tactic completely isolated to the left.
Last but not lease - I've personally had to deal with liberals accuse me of a wide variety of bad things. I've been told I hate the poor despite the fact I'm not particularly wealthy. I've been told I hate minorities, despite the fact I'm hispanic.
For what it's worth, I believe that I've been accused of being anti-American, even though I am an American. I've also been accused of wanting "the terrorists" to win, even though I go to work every day and specifically work on projects designed to help catch them, which is more than most of the population is doing.
I've been told I hate gays, despite the fact I'm friends with a few prominent gay men.
You mean that people were--gasp!--making a rude and unfair assumption about you based on the actions of extremist elements whose political positions you happen to sometimes share? Say it ain't so! What kind of jackass would do that? Then again, does it bother you that the party you support has done such a good job of cynically exploiting anti-gay sentiment with their "protect marriage" propaganda?
I've never in my life heard a conservative in real life say anything like that to a liberal.
Well, you're presumably out of college, so I'm guessing you're old enough to have spent some time in bars. I just don't know what to say to that except to applaud your choice in bars.
I've never met a conservative teacher...
What "major" university did you say this was, again?
...nor seen conservatives take to the streets as a show of force...
No, I suppose that when conservatives do it, it's called protesting and not "taking to the streets as a show of force."
My point is just this - these kinds of t

Global Warming & OzoneThe issue come down to choice: MIT (and others like Bill O'Reilly) and Creation "Science" (and others like Jerry Falwell, Sean Hannity, and Ann Coulter).
The researchers at MIT are unbiased. They analyze the facts: billions of vehicles and aircraft churning out billions of tons of toxins and carbon monoxide. Then, the researchers assess that this damage to the environment causes global warming and the ozone damage.
Even Bill O'Reilly says that the folks at MIT are right, to the chagrin of Jerry Falwell and Ann Coulter.
I am putting my money on Bill O'Reilly.

Re:This is retarded...
Not sure about Australian law, but in the US, this is far from a slam dunk case (at least by precedent). For example, Bill O'reilly did an expose on NAMBLA, which was giving explicit instructions on how an adult can rape children and get away with it, and they were found, by a court, to be within their first amendment rights. Incidentally, the ACLU represented NAMBLA in that case pro bono.

Bill O'reilly Is Going to Have A Ball
George Bush stoogie Bill O'Reilly will surely have a ball with this one. Especially since he has already branded it "the most dangerous organization in the country".

Yet another example of how inmates forfeit nearly all of their civil rights. Isn't it bizarre that a man who was convicted of kidnapping, raping, and murdering a 12-year-old girl (You'll have to scroll down) can post personal ads online, but these inmates are forbidden from reading an eBook?

Yet, Why is Washington Doing Nothing? Here is the part that I just do not understand. The evidence in support of global warming is overwhelming.
Liberals are not the only ones who are concerned. Even populists like Bill O'Reilly have cast their vote in support of efforts to reverse global warming.
Yet, why is Washington doing nothing? Just recently, there has been talk of easing emissions standards on SUVs and other toys of the rich Republicans. In the end, SUV sales will be phenomenal as long as they are amphibious.

Making America into "a Shining City on a Hill"If you care about this country, the USA, then write the following on the November ballot.
president: Bill O'Reilly
vice-president: Tammy BruceO'Reilly cannot win even if he garners a majority of the votes because most states require even write-in candidates to register their candidacy. Nonetheless, O'Reilly can have a "Perot Effect". If he garners a large enough percentage of the vote, then the dominant political parties will adopt his ideas. After Perot lost the race for president, the Republicans adopted most of his ideas for the "Contract with America", of which most became law.
Here is what O'Reilly supports.
- affirmative action on the basis of economic status, not ethnicity
- putting the national guard on the border to defend it (note: many European countries use the military to defend the borders from illegal aliens)
- using air power to stop despots in countries where the population is hostile to Western culture (i.e. never again sacrifice American lives for ingrates like the Iraqis)
- allowing homosexual couples to adopt kids
- the minimum wage
- strong legislation to protect the environment

Foreign Fascination with American ElectionHas anyone noticed the fascination by foreigners in the American election?
Here is the tally of the fascination.
- The Chinese government has stated that it wants Kerry to win.
- The Australian government has stated that it wants Bush to win.
- The Russian government has stated that it was Bush to win.
- Osama Bin Laden has stated that it (yes, "it") wants Kerry to win.
Maybe, the time has come for a real change in power. Write the following on the November ballot.
president: Bill O'Reilly
vice-president: Tammy BruceO'Reilly obviously cannot win even if he gets more than 50% of the vote because the rules of most states requires write-in candidates to register their candidacy. Nonetheless, if O'Reilly garners enough of the popular vote, he would have the "Perot Effect". Whoever is president would be forced to listen to O'Reilly and his supporters, altering the direction of the country for the better.

Cell Phones - Hazard on the RoadWe should ban anything that distracts the driver from the actual driving. The exception would be the radio.
Consider a study done by the American Automobile Association. Cell Phones are a distraction. Having prior experience with using such a phone during driving does not reduce the likelihood of distraction.
Some states now ban the use of a cell phone while driving.

No Vote is Wasted if ...No vote is wasted if the person casting the vote has made an effort to learn about the issues.
Furthermore, voting for Bill O'Reilly will not be a wasted vote even if he cannot win. Indeed, he cannot win even if he receives more than 50% of the popular vote in all the states because, by the rules of most states, even a write-in candidate must register his candidacy.
However, if O'Reilly receives a sufficiently large percentage of the vote, then he can alter politics for the next decade. Consider Ross Perot. He lost the election, but because he received a large percentage of the popular vote, his ideas won. The Republican party adopted most of his ideas in "The Contract with America", and most of them became law. A good example is "workfare".
So, let's rebuild America into the "shining city on the hill". Write the following on the November ballot.

West = #1 on Environment and Worker's RightsThe clothing industry actually established something like this in the 1930's. My father worked in the garment district in Manhattan and he said it made a big difference.
The West has always been on the forefront of human rights and worker's rights. Ditto for the environment.
Check out the last study by the Silicon Valley Toxics coalition. The study evaluates each computer companies' commitment to the environment. The top-ranked companies were all companies based in Western countries (e.g. Japan and the USA) and run on Western principles.
In the study, Dell received a failing grade. That Dell is finally cleaning up its act is good news.
Note that all the Korean and Chinese (including Taiwanese and Hong Kong) companies received failing grades. Interestingly, Korean and Chinese clothing factories in South America and Southeast Asia are notorious for abusing garment workers. Abuse includes beatings and rape.
The companies that treat garment workers best are American and Japanese.

Setting Legal Precedent for Howard Stern and IlkI applaud the EFF for fighting the FCC. If the EFF can establish that the FCC only has powers specifically prescribed by Congress (as opposed to having any power unless it is specifically circumscribed by Congress), then the EFF will establish an awesome legal precedent that will pave the way for folks like Howard Stern in the digial era. He and others like him need not fear the FCC again -- at least in the domain of digital communication.
Remember that Stern, himself, paved the way for Bill O'Reilly. Before Stern, people like Bill O'Reilly really could not say "outrageous" things like "let's use the national guard to defend the borders from illegal aliens." Stern pushed the limit of being outrageous, and O'Reilly lives within that limit.
The point is not that O'Reilly's comments are outrageous. They are not. Rather, some people who hate O'Reilly are bigots and accuse him of being outrageous. In the past, these bigots would use the "outrageous" label to convince the FCC to shut O'Reilly down. However, thanks to Stern, these bigots can no longer use the "outrageous" label to shut down folks like O'Reilly. After all, even the bigots note that O'Reilly's comments are not more outrageous than Stern's comments about anal sex, transvestites, and heroine addiction.

You talk like an Indian, Chinese, or Hispanic.
I have no hidden motive. I support the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. Immigration should only be for the direly impoverished, not for H-1Bs. The history of American immigration shows that people from the impoverished class appreciate the change to enter the USA and to assimilate. H-1B's are the elite of their nations and, once they are here in the USA, they decline to assimilate, and they start spouting crap about how great the "motherland culture" is.

How, exactly, do you prove you grew up in a blue-collar, middle class town? I grew up in a middle class family, but short of providing my parents' tax returns, I don't know that I could prove it.
Franken's challenge to O'Reilly was that he lived in Westbury. O'Reilly says he lived in the Westbury part of Levittown. If people accept that Levittown was a blue-collar, working class town then the proof is in the deed.

Soros, the freak, funds http://www.moveon.orgSoros is not near the center. Soros funds the following web site.
This web site claims that Bush is worse than Hitler. This web site also claims that Bush deliberately lied about the presence of WMDs in Iraq. This web site also claims that Bush allowed Arab bigots to board an airplane within days after 9/11.
Reputable newspapers like the "Washington Post" have indicated that all these claims are lies. Soros is a lunatic. Only a lunatic would claim that Bush is worse than Hitler. Furthermore, the CIA gave flawed intelligence data to both Bush and Clinton, and both men concluded that Iraq had WMDs. Finally, no airplanes were allowed to fly to Saudia Arabia in the days after 9/11.

H-1B's Feeding the Internet BubbleThe article starting this thread of discussion omits the Internet bubble's key element: H-1B engineers from India and China (which includes Taiwan province and Hong Kong). Here is what happened.
When the Internet frenzy began in 1998, the labor market encountered shortages. Consider what would have happened in two scenarios: (1) no H-1B's and (2) plenty of H-1B's. Consider scenario #1. The dire labor shortages would have done 2 things: (1) improved working conditions for engineers and (2) raised salaries. "Improved working conditions" could, for example, mean that the average working hours is reduced so that the engineers can return home somewhat earlier to be with their families and to build better relationships with their children. When companies cannot raise salaries to attract more workers, the companies could improve working conditions.
As salaries rise and working conditions improve, more people enter the engineering profession. However, the labor market does not grow fast enough, so some ideas are delayed and are not turned into startup companies. There is no problem here, since there are already plenty of jobs. Some companies close due to labor shortages. Consequently, venture capitalists are more prudent and do not fund hokey, idiotic ideas.
During the downtown in 2003 to 2005, there is a surplus in the labor market, and the ideas previously delayed due to a labor shortage are now converted into companies, hiring the newly unemployed Americans. The downtown is not severe. All is well.
Now, consider scenario #2, which actually happened. Into the picture enters the H-1B engineers from India and China. Instead of allowing market forces to work in the labor market for high-tech employees, the American government chose to intervene aggressively -- in much the same fashion that the government has intervened in the low-tech labor market. The government "fixed" the labor shortage and flooded the market with H-1B engineers (in the same fashion that the government floods the low-tech labor market with Mexican illegal aliens).
Companies demand that engineers work 57 hours per week. Since the Indians work 57 hours per week, the other engineers better work 57 hours per week. Otherwise, they are "out" of the company.
Almost every idea is converted into a startup company since there is plenty of H-1B labor. Many hokey, idiotic ideas are funded by venture capitalists.
The shortage of labor does increase wages, but wages do not rise as rapidly as they would in scenario #1.
Rents increase rapidly. The flood of H-1B engineers create a housing shortage. The Chinese engineers and the Indian engineers come from the elite of their nations, and expensive housing is no problem. They lived as elites in their own nations, and they have the money to pour into high rents and high mortgates.
Then, the downturn arrives in 2001-2003. All the companies based on hokey, idiotic ideas crash. Massive numbers of people are fired. Unemployment in Silicon Valley reaches 9%. The downturn is deep and long.
There are very few new delayed ideas because most of them were implemented as new startup companies during the Internet craze. The H-1B hordes facilitated this situation.
Which scenario is better? Scenario #1 is better. Allow the free market to work. The government should not intervene in the high-tech labor market. If the government did not intervene, the downturn in the Silicon Valley would have been much milder than it actually was. We should not allow any more H-1B workers into this country unless that country has a free market. In other words, H-1B workers from Canada and Europe are okay. However, foreign workers from Mexico, China, and India should be banned.

Kyoto Treaty, anyone?Clearly, the Bush administration has failed on the environment. It refused to sign the Kyoto Treaty to prevent global warming.
Guess what? President Putin, of all people, has solidly supported the treaty and intends to sign it.
Want another example? The Bush administration refused to enact tough standards for automotive emissions and claims that they are unfeasible. Yet, the California government has just enacted such legislation. Furthermore, the technology is quite feasible. Both Honda and Mazda make ULEVs (ultra low emission vehicles).
The issue is not one of whether government should be funding or subsidizing research and development. We all have our opinions on such government intervention.
The issue is one of the Bush administration (and also previous Democratic administrations) simply making false statements about science and technology and then using those false statements to pursue policies that damage the environment.
The best example is nuclear power. It is clean and efficient and could substantially reduce our dependence on oil from Islamic thugs. Yet, science frauds in the government have effectively stopped the construction of any more nuclear power plants since the 1970s.
Really, we can blame only ourselves. We elect these idiots.

Most Democrats/Republicans Are Not PopulistsWhy should the behavior of the Republicans surprise anyone? They do not care about the average American. Ditto for Democrats.
[The following is worth repeating and is comments that I submitted in another thread of discussion.]
Any high-tech job that can be outsourced will be outsourced. You will see a continuous shrinking of the high-tech labor force.
Both political parties claim that free markets require the free exchange of goods and services (which includes labor) between the USA and other members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and fusing the American market with the Chinese/Indian/Mexican market maintains the free market in the USA. Unfortunately, the politicians are just playing a verbal game with economics.
Allow me to explain. The USA, in isolation, is a relatively free market -- with relatively little government intervention (compare to, say, China). So is Japan, Canada, and the rest of the West. However, Mexico, China, and India are not free markets. Excessive government intervention has damaged the markets in those economies, and they cannot provide jobs for millions of underemployed persons.
When the USA interacts with, say, China, we have the interaction of a free market and a non-free market. The by-product (i.e. millions of underemployed Chinese) of non-market forces now affects the market dynamics in the USA. The underemployed Chinese are a continuing stream of cheap slave labor; jobs are then transferred from the USA to China.
The USA is no longer a free market because non-market forces (in this case, Chinese government intervention) is altering the dynamics of the labor market in the USA. The verbal game that politicians play is to simply define the USA to be a "free market", ignoring the fact that the Chinese government is now grossly affecting the labor market of the USA.
Similar comments apply to both India and Mexico.
Similar comments apply to H-1B workers and illegal aliens from Mexico: the American government has, in effect, actively used H-1B workers and illegal aliens to intervene in the labor markets in both high tech and low tech. Illegal aliens have destroyed the upward pressure on wages in the market for unskilled labor. H-1B have hurt salaries for engineers. Shortages are a normal part of any labor market, and they are an upward force on salaries/wages and working conditions. When the government actively works to wipe out such shortages in the low-tech market and the high-tech market, the government is damaging market forces.
If you hate what is happening to our country, the USA, then please write the following on the November ballot.

Answer: Anyone Who Supports Free MarketsThe best politician for information technology or the rest of the economy is a politician who supports genuine free markets. A free market is one where market forces are allowed to operate normally except for certain caveats: government intervention to protect the environment, worker's rights, etc.
Note that when we combine a free market like the USA and a non-free market like Mexico, we damage the free market in the USA. For example, the influx of illegal aliens is created by horrible intervention by the Mexican government in the Mexican economy. This influx then destroys the normal market forces in the labor market for unskilled labor in the USA. Ultimately, the USA no longer has a free market.
Note that before the influx of illegal aliens, the free market worked fine in the USA. Unskilled laborers earned enough money to support their families.
Similar comments apply to H-1B workers from India, China (which includes Taiwan province and Hong Kong), etc. They destroy the normal market forces in the market for high-tech labor.
Supporting free markets means that the USA engages in trade (which includes the exchange of labor like engineers, farmers, vegetable pickers, etc.) only with other free markets like that in Canada, Europe, Japan, etc. Supporting free markets means that we defend the border against the influx of illegal aliens and canceling the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Supporting free markets means that H-1B engineers from Europe, Japan, and Canada are allowed into the USA. H-1B engineers from India and China are banned.
Supporting free markets means that we terminate unfettered trade with China and India until both societies commit to free market principles. They go hand in hand with democracy. Note the presence of Chinese soldiers in Tibet, and the large number of Taiwanese who have spied for Beijing.

"Football Fans..." is joke, but Kerry is dishonestKerry testified, in Congress, that American soldiers regularly committed atrocities in Vietnam.
In 1971, Kerry declared, in Congress, "I would like to talk, representing all those veterans, and say that several months ago in Detroit, we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command.
It is impossible to describe to you exactly what did happen in Detroit, the emotions in the room, the feelings of the men who were reliving their experiences in Vietnam, but they did. They relived the absolute horror of what this country, in a sense, made them do.
They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, tape wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the country side of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country."
Kerry lied in order to advance his own career. His words endangered the lives of American soldiers in Vietnam.
Even after 30 years, some disgusting acts should never be forgotten. Achieving a political career by lying about the acts of American soldiers in Vietnam is absolutely disgusting.

Sean Hannity and Race-Baiting CommercialsMonitering the elections is good news for honest people like Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, etc.
Today, the local radio station aired "The Best of Sean Hannity". Sean Hannity repeatedly demanded to know why Jamal, an African-American, created an anti-Bush ad that accuses Republicans of disenfranchising Black voters in Florida 2000. Hannity challenged Jamal to name one Black voter who was disenfranchised. Jamal could not do so despite his race-baiting commercial.
Allowing the Europeans to moniter the elections will ensure that we prove Jamal and his ilk to be liars. I applaud the Europeans helping us out.

Analysis of Outsourcing, H-1Bs, and Illegal Aliens[The following is worth repeating and is comments that I submitted in another thread of discussion.]
If you hate what is happening to our country, the USA, then please write the following on the November ballot.
president: Bill O'Reilly
vice-president: Tammy Bruce -
Will you protect the US-Mexican border? My question is "How and when will you protect the US-Mexican border if you win the election?"
The flood of illegal aliens has destroyed the normal upward force on wages and working conditions in the market for unskilled labor. Americans who are in this market cannot earn enough money to buy basic necessities like housing and food. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats care about Americans in this market. The Republicans and the Democrats care only about catering to racists in LaRaza, the Hispanic equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan.

Debates are Show, not SubstanceWhen we evaluate politicians, we should not use the words that they utter during a campaign. Politicians alter/spin their positions to attract the most voters.
Debates are simply a forum for politicians to read their scripted lines: all show and no substance. The handlers have told the politicians what to emphasize and what to avoid at the debates. For the same reason, interviews with politicians during the campaign season are pointless.
If you want to know how the politicians will act once they are elected, then study their votes in the years prior to the election. What were their positions on the major issues?
Look at the border with Mexico. Both Kerry and Bush claim that they oppose illegal immigration. Yet, neither has done anything to enforce the borders.
If you hate what is happening to our country, the USA (which is firmly grounded in Western culture), then join me in writing the following on the November ballot.
president: Bill O'Reilly
vice-president: Tammy BruceThey cannot win in the upcoming election since they have not formally registered as candidates, according to the rules of most states. However, if they garner a sizeable portion of the votes, then they can have a "Perot Effect". Although Perot lost the election, the Republicans incorporated most of his ideas in the "Contract with America", of which most was enacted into law.

Re:News Houndswho was monitoring CBS News before they perpetrated their big lie?
Odd, here I am reading this, while, watching Bill O'Reilly at the same time. O'Reilly just made the comment that blames Rather for poor reporting, but he doesn't think Rather was trying to influence the election. O'Reilly chastises right-wing blogs for turning poor reporting into some sort of left-wing CBS conspiracy.
Radical leftists, "activists" and other revolutionary types love to make stink about FOX News, but you don't see them being caught trying to influence the outcome of the election by passing off counterfeit documents, do you?Of course, one of the reasons that you don't see Fox News being caught in this kind of work is that they simply do not have the size of a news department of a CNN or any of the other networks. Fox does a great job of throwing a few reporters out there and running commentators 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It leaves the investigative reporting to CNN, CBS, ABC, and most other news organizations.
Why? Who knows? Of course, it probably costs CNN alot more money to keep a staff on-site in every major and minor national capital around the world, whereas Fox only has to pay for a few dozen support personnel to sit behind their desk at the company Headquarters.
The Bonus for Fox is that it doesn't have to run the risk of getting the story wrong. It lets the other news organizations dig up the story. Then, it just has the commentators put their own spin on the news, after someone else spends the money to break the story (read this site take a look at the last couple of paragraphs on how Fox uses controlled interviews with paid internal staffers). And, because all it is doing is making commentary, it gets the ratings because commentary is alot more interesting than watching "real news".

Re:The lying liars...
O'Reilly's "proof" that he grew up in Levittown was claimed to be a deed to a house there, but it's really a mortgage certificate. So he's obviously lying, in strict terms. But such a certificate is not conclusive - mortgages in 1950s Long Island for prefab houses were routinely issued while the actual house was being built, before the specific unit was even chosen; such documents can include the address of the office or a model home in the development, a prior residence, or even a nearby existing address where the post office can deliver mail. It's pretty flimsy evidence of an entire childhood, which would produce pictures, yearbooks, letters, neighbors, a whole life of references. O'Reilly's "evidence", that he introduces with a distortion to enhance its argument, is hardly as convincing as O'Reilly's counterargument.
The more important details of this story are not simply where O'Reilly grew up compared to his claims, although that does make him a liar. His homey origin story is invoked in statements like "I started out with nothing" and "You don't come from any lower than I came from on an economic scale" (to the New York Observer). Even if his imagined childhood in Levittown were real, we're talking about a suburb of New York City, in prosperous and booming Long Island, where his father was an accountant. Levittown was the model of middle class achievement, copied all over the country and the world as planned development of conformity. It's a little bizarre to aspire to a childhood in the 1950s approximation of the _Brave New World_ clone tanks. But it's a lie to say that Levittown was the lowest rung on America's economic ladder. In 1950s Missisippi, people routinely went barefoot while slaving in cottonfields, wore handed down coveralls from WWI surplus, and starved to death. Meanwhile, O'Reilly's mother tells (the Washington Post) of their yearly family vacations in Florida, his private school (including college and a master's degree from Boston University), and even says they lived in Westbury. O'Reilly likes to imagine he has triumphed over adversity, telling poor viewers he's "one of them". He's a liar, even if he believes his own lies.
As for unions, they are the only currently viable defense against corporate exploitation of labor. The laws previous generations of unions wrestled from our government, which primarily represents corporations, are routinely undermined by new laws and innovative tactics by management. When IT workers organize, it will change the unions forever, by including both better communications among the members, and accounting for the mobility and flexibility of our industry. Steelworkers wanted job security around their stationary factories, IT workers want retraining for global opportunities. Until labor is as organized as the management with which it competes, management will have the upper hand, and labor will lose. Parity will allow cooperation as peers, for everyone's benefit, except labor exploiters, who will be less rich, but more sustainable. -

Hispanic Politicians and VotersWithin the next 20 years, La Raza will become the 3rd political party in the USA. To understand the nature of La Raza, I offer the following quote from a speech by Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and founder of La Raza Unida Party. He gave the speech at UC Riverside in 1/1995.
The border remains a military zone. We remain a hunted people. Now you think you have a destiny to fulfill in the land that historically has been ours for forty thousand years. And we're a new Mestizo nation. And they want us to discuss civil rights. Civil rights. What law made by white men to oppress all of us of color, female and male. This is our homeland. We cannot - we will not- and we must not be made illegal in our own homeland. We are not immigrants that came from another country to another country. We are migrants, free to travel the length and breadth of the Americas because we belong here. We are millions. We just have to survive. We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. It's a matter of time. The explosion is in our population.
You can also listen to the an actual audio clip of the quote above. There is an important web site with other quotes and audio clips.
Is anyone shocked by La Raza and the Hispanics who support La Raza? La Raza is the Hispanic equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan.
I am extremely concerned that La Raza will become the "one party" that controls America in 2025. Our refusal to control our borders has led to an explosive political dynamic that will be hostile to anyone who is not Hispanic.

Lying Liar
Do some research, something Al Franken is apparently weary of. Essentially, in his years of television and radio, all Al has on Bill is that he mislabeled a Peabody a Polk, in a side comment off of his show. He later apologized, on the show and his radio show, for the mistake. Franken's point about Bill not living in Levittown as a kid can be discredited by looking at the deed to his parents' house.
Franken's just trying to find crap to discredit O'Reilly with, and it's not working! Well, apparently it is because people like you believe him, but that doesn't make it true.

Nader should run, but Bill O'Reilly is best choiceLike all other American citizens, Ralph is entitled to run for president. Anyone who demands that he quit is un-American and simply refuses to accept the great Western tradition of democracy.
By the way, none of the current candidates are worth a hoot.
I recommend that you write the following protest vote.
president: Bill O'Reilly
vice-president: Tammy BruceThough they cannot win because they have not registered for candidacy by the rules of most states, if enough people vote for O'Reilly and Bruce, they will have a profound "Perot Effect". Though Ross Perot did not win, he did force the Republicans to adopt most of his ideas in the "Contract with America".
If you support the ideas that O'Reilly and Bruce espouse, then please write them on the ballot.
Feel free to pass this message to as many people as possible.
