    For those of you who think that $videoBymail vendors will suffer when Video-on-Demand hits the market, think again. You need to remember that quite a few folks out there that are building up impressive home video libraries thanks to services like Netflix and Blockbuster.

    Couple unlimited rentals with the ability to download the jacket to any movie ever made... Well I'm sure you get the point.

    If you really are interested in increasing your movie collection this way, I recommend:

    1. NetFlix - has the ability to turn around 9 movie per week if you live in a good area on the 3 movies at once plan
    2. DVD burner
    3. Blank DVD cases,
    4. High-res scans of DVD covers

    My movie collection has grown by over 35 movies in my first 5 weeks with NetFlix doing this, at an avg. cost of less than $1.50 per movie.

    Disposable are more amenable to ripping since you get to keep the packaging, vs. with a rental you have to buy a DVD box (or jewel case if you're cheap), go to http://www.cdcovers.cc and print a liner for the case, etc.

    It seems that the site using anti-leech software (it blocks Opera in this instance) just got issued a notice from the RIAA to take down its CD cover scans section (must be due to lost profits!) If that's not juicy irony, I don't know what is.
