Not a USB device, but..
The Hubzilla was always one of my favorites. This one's Firewire, but worth it for a laugh.

Hubzilla!Jeez, if you're going to build a funky storage project that uses a firewire hub, why wouldn't you build it around Hubzilla?
Personally, I'm putting together PCs at home so fast that I've already got over 100Gig just in boot volumes, with a total of about 200Gig of storage across all the PCs in one room. I've also still got two or three free IDE ports, one free SATA port and about eight free firewire ports. Maybe I'll need a funky storage solution somwhere around 2012.

Proper way to connect these
A cool project like this ought to be interconnected with a Hubzilla.

Re:Lose the buzzwords
And more importantly, with ethernet, nobody makes anything like Hubzilla.

Re:Sad
BTW, Microsoft, Godzilla really does want to know what your software has done with his sacred nuclear materials. I'm sure he would be thrilled to receive an explanation when he comes to Redmond next month to visit his old friends at Nintendo America.
Confession time: you're the person behind Hubzilla, aren't you?

Re:What about burning iso discs?and whether there is any way back to ISO9660 without resorting to Toast.
Well there's always Discribe - I registered my copy last week. And, yeah, it works just fine on Jag. Now you can burn ISO images, as well as DVD. Kewl

Use the built in stuff
Not sure about DVD burning but I got rid of both Toast and Charismac's Discribe and just use the built-in cd burning software.
Does everything I need from burning files or whole .dmg images to cd to making audio cd's via iTunes.
And I don't have to deal with Roxio's obnoxiousness.
