    Another example - Chrome. Don't know "how much Java" it is, but it received a Duke's Choice Award last year.

    People need to get rid of this "Java is slow" attitude. As an example, I cite the two following 3D games. If I installed these on your computer and you ran them, I guarantee you would not know they were full Java. http://www.chromethegame.com/ http://www.bytonic.de/html/jake2.html

    How about Borland JBuilder? That's a big, powerful IDE, and I'd consider it a successful commercial product. Also, from the games side, Puzzle Pirates is a Java game, and good chunks of Chrome are Java. Oh yeah, plus about a billion cellphone applications.

    I noticed the other day that Chrome, an otherwise dull and unremarkable FPS, uses Ogg Vorbis for its music. I'm sure there are others.

    There are at least two games that use Java for processing their game logic: Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption and Chrome released last year.
