Oddly enough, there is one governmental entity I would be concerned about, especially since they have a high false positive rate in their investigations.

Replace "Garden of Eden" with "Cambrian Era" and it hasn't really changed that much.

And the atheists are also stuck on literal interpretations.

On #2: Not my opinion

The theological orthodoxy cuts both ways, I'm afraid.

Plus, this article points out that most peer-reviewed journals consider theistic evolution and intelligent design to be just forms of creationism.

Thing is, I'm actually rather against Islam myself (or really anti-religion in general, just seeing Islam as the most dangerous and aggressive of the bunch at the moment)

How strong is that dislike for religion?
Do you agree with churches having an active voice in society (see link 1 below)?
Do you agree with the legally-enforced marginalization of Christian viewpoints on family values (see links 2-6)?
Do you believe in conspiracy theories involving Jews or Opus Dei?
Does Mitt Romney's or Rick Santorum's religion bother you?
Do you support the right of a valedictorian to pray?

I found your comments well-balanced, except for this one. I would like to know your opinion on this matter.

All 4 sites above are pro-life, pro-family, orthodox Catholic. Excellent.
But be warned that Crisis Magazine sometimes gets involved in political matters
and they usually lean Libertarian.

National "Catholic" Reporter - ncronline.org
These people claim to be Catholics, but they vilify the Pope, condemn Eucharistic adoration,
advocate for homosexualism, make-believe priestesses, and other heresies. They have written that
the Catholic laity should rebel against the Holy See. The only useful content on that site are
the articles by John Allen.

And a mild disrecomendation:
www.americamagazine.org - they are absolutely not as bad as the National "Catholic" Reporter,
but sometimes they oppose legitimate actions by the Holy See such as the reform of the LCWR.

The author's "research" which many have praised so highly, that is his new "insight" into the Catholic Church and its history, is mostly bunk.

The scary thing is that many intelligent persons (like many who frequent /. ) take it to be entirely credible.
