DotCom Guy, yet another fucked company.

According to the FAQ on their site he was getting paid throughout the year. In doubling incrementations, 24 dollars one month $48 the next, then $96, and in November alone, $24,576 and then finally in december the $49,152 balance. But then you could read it for yourself. I know a little about journalism, and I might make a suggestion that Slashdot try some basic fact checking before you run stories. For one thing it would make for better "articles" knowing how much of that money he may of actually gotten. Its obviously possible that they fled during a particular month, but to me it sounds very much like someone's trying to slander them to sensationalize the dotcom disaster.

Yes.. but doesn't this sound like "then hire a Y2K expert to take a look"? Part of the problem is that developers say "I don't need a security expert" (ok, so some didn't need a Y2K expert..)

Before changing his name, he should have made sure we would not see things such as this. How lame can you be--starting your stunt in 2000 with a non-y2k compliant site? I get the feeling he's not about to become /.'s favorite person of the year.

me too. there is no message board. there is a spot you can give them a bunch of demographic info and become a dotcompartner or some such shit, and in return i guess you get to review e-commerce sites and get deals on various crapola. but no message board that i could find.

you can, however, follow my lead and email the schmuck at dcg@dotcomguy.com and tell him what a loser puppet of greedy commercial interests he is.
