Re:"ethical"??
You can have any number of ethical codes - they just need to be a set of rules that are internally consistent. You'll notice that Google didn't say they were going to follow a moral code - those need to be defended philosophically, be consistent, and be defensible to the sensibilities of most humans. Google says they're "just" going to use AI for image classification, not for offensive weapons. Great, so the CIA analyst will use the Google results to pick the kids that they're going to drone bomb. Immoral, but within Google's set of ethics.
Have you heard of F-Droid?

heres another lie.
Your data plan doesnt take into account advertisements which are basically subsidized at your expense. It doesnt count the silent data collection performed by most apps, or silent updates performed in the background. root your phone, install http://fdroid.org/ and download adaway to null-route advertising servers and reclaim some of your data plan

Re:to pull a weed, start at the root.
From there install https://fdroid.org/ [fdroid.org] as your repository and download adaway
the same fdroid that has a self-signed (or otherwise invalid, i'm not sure) certificate on their https website?
awesome idea. -
to pull a weed, start at the root.
Root your phone, or buy a phone that can be rooted easily (I recommend the HTC 1.) From there install https://fdroid.org/ as your repository and download adaway. It will amend your hosts file to basically blackhole known advertising servers. Android used to have a package called the naked browser, which is much faster and secure than the default browser. disable all cookies and whitelist the useful sites you want.

the actual reason please.
Apple rejected your app because apple is not selling a product, it is selling a means of consumption to a product. Any productivity or meaningfulness actualized from iDevices is purely coincidental and is designed to keep the user entertained long enough to interact with apples ecosystem of other products which in turn sell other apple products and services, along with the users personal information to third party vendors. Apple isnt interested in making waves, its interested in herding cattle and the best we can do is wildly speculate as to why apples nontransparent review process green-lights or curb-stomps your code. "not enough lasting value" means you arguably havent committed enough value to the idea of keeping people engaged in their apple product, not that the function or end-goal of your application is devoid of any value. If you submitted your app under the GPL thats an automatic rejection.
stop writing apps for apple and microsoft. At worst you should consider writing them for Android, but even then its the same business model with a slightly roomier yoke. Write applications for the open source ecosystem F-Droid. Interesting and legitimately worthwhile products like firewall, adblock, and an mpd client licensed under the GPL can be made available. -
FOSS flashlight app
The answer is the user can't differentiate, unless we have access to the source code.
So here's an open source flashlight app you should be using:
MrWhite: https://fdroid.org/wiki/page/org.bc_bd.mrwhiteOr Torch: https://fdroid.org/wiki/page/com.colinmcdonough.android.torch
Install them by installing the F-Droid (FOSS for Android) package manager from Google Play.

Re:Android pod touch
Why? Tablets and MPs w/out android market are the cheaper ones, you don't see anyone w/ the latest Samsung or Motorola android phone or tablet without the Market. If you're not willing to invest in a good device probably your not going to invest in apps anyway. I know, My first tablet was the lowest end available Android 1.6 and all, I still rooted it and installed the Market and have spent no more than$20 USD on apps, mostly because I love F Droid. Ahhh the freedom.
Also, nice to know that nobody pirate iOS apps.
