Looking for High-Tech Watches?
M3wThr33 asks: "I currently own a Casio WQV-3, which is a digital camera watch with IR, but lately it's taken a turn for the worse. With the news of Fossil recently scrapping their latest PDA watch, I'd like to know what other kinds of high-tech gizmos I can slap on my wrist? I've recently been eyeing the Matsucom OnHandPC, but am beginning to think that it's outdated. I already have a Palm Zire71, so the watch would be more for the 'ooh' and 'ahh' factor, as opposed to actual usefulness." -
Fossil/Palm PDA Watch Reviewed
SLiK812 writes "Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal has a pretty good review of Palm's and Fossil's new wrist PDA. We all knew some time ago that this was coming out, and was initially covered last November and briefly last month. This is the first review I've seen, and Mossberg does bring up some interesting points, both good and bad. Definitely worth the read before buying it." -

Real PDA Wristwatch
Larry Groebe writes "Just before COMDEX, Fossil announced a new PDA in a wristwatch. Based on the Palm OS, this is nothing less than a complete Palm Pilot on your wrist. See here for features and a picture. This is completely UNLIKE Fossil's *first* attempt at a wrist PDA, which was a hopeless view-only gadget. This new model allows regular Graffiti input and appears to run all Palm programs! At $149, I may be the first in line when it comes out next spring." -
Fossil's $145 PDA Watch
Robogeek writes: "News.com reports that Fossil will launch its $145 Wrist PDA in early 2002 - "a watch that doubles as a Palm- or Pocket PC-compatible organizer." Apparently, the 190KB device will accept data imported from your PDA via infrared. But isn't this kind of redundant if you're already carrying your PDA with you? (And can't enter data directly into the watch?) Besides, what I really want is a combo phone/mp3 player/PDA watch, dammit!" -
