Frostwire?
Frostwire's still up. http://www.frostwire.com/. Limewire != Gnutella, which is decentralized and thus impossible to shut down completely.
On a related note, I can't believe how stupid this ruling is. It's a Gnutella client! That's it! Limewire is responsible for nothing; it's the illegal distributors of copyrighted works, which LimeWire isn't, that are legally responsible for any of this. What's next, making HTTP/FTP/BitTorrent/the Internet illegal because it "encourages illegal file-sharing"? Give me a break! Some of the best legal to download music I've found was promoted by Frostwire! The problem isn't file-sharing, obviously, but an outdated business model and a resistance to change.

FrostWire
It's not like the Gnutella network will shut down. Even if LimeWire stops distributing its client, there are plenty of others. For example, FrostWire.

Re:If you don't like their business model....
They already have. It's called Frostwire http://www.frostwire.com/

FrostWire
FrostWire - all the *ahem* benefits of using Limewire, but without the annoying "Upgrade to Limewire Pro" popups.

Re:eDonkey is still around?
Actually, Limewire (and its fork, FrostWire) access the Gnutella network, IIRC.

GPL'ed LimeWire derivative does existIt is called http://frostwire.com/
What is FrostWire
FrostWire is a fork of the very popular LimeWire Gnutella client. The purpose of FrostWire is to keep and maintain the freedoms that LimeWire LLC may be forced to withdraw.
LimeWire LLC has been considering an alternative path to keep them out of any legal situations they could be forced into. From what we understand, LimeWire LLC intends to implement a DRM filtering technology into their client. If LimeWire ever decides to implement this DRM technology, we will be prepared to remove it from our code and distribute the client under our own branding. However, we will continue supporting the LimeWire client development and do not wish to make fundamental or drastic changes to the LimeWire core itself. FrostWire will not break with LimeWire's design philosophy. We will always do our best to maintain a strong relationship with the LimeWire Development Team.
FrostWire, although very much like LimeWire, will never offer a paid version or a subscription service for the download or use of the FrostWire application. FrostWire is a not-for-profit project. We will never bundle our software with any type of adware, spyware, malware or collect any personal or private data. FrostWire will always remain free as in both price and freedom.

Re:Download while you still can
I think that FrostWire deserves a mention aswell.
Essentially, it's a open source Limewire client which connects to Gnutella. It looks like the "pro" version of Limewire, so it's easy to use but it's free and open source.
Also, uTorrentdeserves a mention to be wicked-small and fast Torrent client for Windows. It only takes 155 KB of space! -
P2P Doesn't *HAVE* to share
Frostwire (a free fork of Limewire without the DRMA crap) and mIRC are two programs that I know of that the user doesn't specifically *HAVE* to share files. If one sets up Frostwire correctly, it will neither share downloads, nor anything else. By default, though, FW does share all files downloaded by the user until he/she moves them out of the incoming directory.
With mIRC, the process is rather detailed, and not very n00b friendly. There are several helper programs, (such as OmenServe's Addons (AutoGet specifically. A GUI interface for your mIRC downloading needs.))
I do share over 2,000 files, but they are all 100% legal, public-domain .MP3 files. I have the almost the entire collection from OverClocked Remix that I use to "pad my stats" if you will. Though, I don't know if "padding" is the right term, since that's the only thing that I allow to go out from my system. -

Re:Lime Wire Exodus
The major international contributors to the LimeWire source code have recently set up FrostWire. It's not pretty now, but that's where the LimeWire community is going.
