Not exactly what you're asking for, but similar:

Re:we'll see
With a proxy client (TOR or whatever) in China, you could find out live what is blocked and what is not. For instance, This site used to provide just such a service.
You might find Open Net Initiative's page on china of interest too.

Great Firewall
Remember that to stop someone doing something, non-essential: not eating or breathing, you just need to make it hard enough to be not worth their while. An example of this is the Chinese firewall, people know the government are watching, so they don't bother looking at anything that isn't authorised.
Except Chinese are able to get around the Great Firewall of China. Chinese do find ways.

Re:Seconded.
having encryption without authentication is pointless, because man in the middle attacks are too easy to set up
I strongly disagree. Maybe my surfing passes through Sweden, China or USA?
If I surf encrypted sites there's quite a good chance they won't log more than some traffic from that IP to mine. Unencrypted they'll get the whole URL and cookie history. Yes, they could man-in-the-middle me, but that's likely to remain an exception for some time. For now,"encrypt first, sign later" sounds like moving in the right direction to me. -

Not I think
http://www.greatfirewallofchina.org/test/ says it is available.
Doesn't look serious like Harvard one though :) -
Re:Is your site blocked?
i tested http://greatfirewallofchina.org/test and it came back as blocked.
altho, in their defense, there is a link about how it could be a technical, not a political issue... -
Is your site blocked? You can go to http://greatfirewallofchina.org/test and test if a specific URL is censored by China (they use a remote server and have it try to make an outbound connection). The site is up and down at the moment due to a mention on Fark.com, but I was able test a few URLs:
- http://slashdot.org/ - not blocked when I tested, but periodically blocked
- http://cnn.com/ - not blocked at the moment, but periodically blocked
- http://ralan.com/ & http://locusmag.com/ (Sci Fi market info) - blocked.
- http://thehaws.org/ (my site) - not blocked... which is kind of disappointing
