No, creationism is actually pretty big in fundamentalist Islam, too. Notable in this regard is Harun Yahya, who has been trying to supply teaching materials to promote the Islamic version of creationism:

That's the real reason why the US is fighting the War on Terror: it's not about oil, nor about security, but rather about the clash of two fundamentalist cultures.

But the Americans and Muslims aren't the only ones, since the Israelis have creationists too. Gabi Avital, science head of the Education Ministry, just got fired for attacking evolution:

Is it any wonder that the Israelis don't get along with their neighbors? Both radical Judaism and fundamentalist Islam teach that evidence is to be ignored when it contradicts spiritual authority.

The Americans, the Israelis, and the Muslims all have more progressive, less fundamentalist wings, but the fundamentalists get all the attention, and often the majority of the votes. Exposing the lies in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam would help undercut the fundamentalists' political and social power, so it's obviously the work of the devil.

I have one question to the Vatican guys : Did Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the aliens too ??

PS : I believe in God the unique creator of the universe and all forms of life it contains.

If anyone actually thinks about this, they'll wake up and realise that the basic "inanimate cell" as darwinism says is actually an extremely complication biochemical factory, one which we're still learning about, and something humans have never been able to reproduce.

Good point. But it's only the certain christian groups in the United States and certain muslim groups in Turkey that form the bulk of the creationist movement.

The movement is strongest only in these two countries. Check out Harun Yahya's website and for a more balanced view, check him out in wikipedia. His real name is Adnan Oktar, and the man writes a lot of books trashing evolution and other religions as well. He claims to have written all his books, but I doubt it.

One the stupidest arguments I've heard against creationism is that "Hitler used natural selection and darwinism to justify the holocaust, therefore anyone who believes in Evolution is a Nazi" or something stupid to that effect. Evolution is not a moral doctrine and doesn't profess to be so. Anyone who tries to make it so, is boneheaded. People have done some awful things in the name of Christianity. So is it ok to go ahead and label all Christians as Bad People?

Also, creationists always talk about these wonderful books that they have that disprove evolution. Right. That's because Creationists write books for creationists. None of these books will ever pass a scientific peer review, because they're all trash.

I consider myself a somewhat religious person, and I do believe in God. But I also believe that religion has NO PLACE in the school system. We need to come down on morons who try to force religion and that too THEIR religion down the throats of others, and who also have the gall to proclaim it as science.

Most arguments in ID nowdays center around the concept of "irreducibly complex" biological components. Some examples. The blood clotting cascade. The human eye. DNA replication.

I have to disagree with you. There are plenty of religious people that feel science supports creationism, rather than disproves it.

There are some ugly points about the implications of Darwin's book (full title: "On The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life") which are not mentioned in this review. If you're going to examine Darwin and the results of his theory, you need to know things were not all rosy.
