Typography
Typography is a dying craft; anything that can be done to revive it should be applauded.
In these times there are very few that are prepared to uphold the standards that were created and refined by the past-masters of the print trade. Amongst the best of these are the artisans at http://hosanna1.com/ Breathtaking.

That site just has to be a joke.
Surely someone has made that site as bad as possible as a joke to show their friends. No one could be that truly awful and still claim to have "the most beautiful pages on the www".

HAHA! That was hilarious and apt.
You know, it's a bit daunting and breathtaking to me that this little POS site, put together by some simple, god-fearing Kentucky rubes, has attracted the gaze and http requests of the mighty Slashdot community. Those poor schlubs are probably looking at their web logs and jumping for joy ("Hallelujah! Praise Jesus!") at all the attention they've suddenly garnered. Little do they know...
BTW, hosanna1.com hosts several other depressing Afghan related sites. This one ("Cobra Originals") features very bad Afghan inspired art. Like this piece, titled "Running Afghan Hound", though clearly it should be more suitably titled "Petrified Turd of Lord Neptune."

I'm sorry, but the worst website I have ever seen has to be http://hosanna1.com/
It's pretty hard to disagree with you. And as a guy who has built a lot of dog-related web content for and about dog breeders, I can tell you that the design sensibilities that result in outbreaks like this is more of an epidemic than a fluke.
That being said, I have to wonder: why, when, and how did you find that spectacular web site? Yes, I'm looking for SEO tips. -

From:In this, my first post to this august body, I don't want to be though of as braggart. But, if it is the truth it is not bragging. In my yard I have the largest and fattest collection of California Toads in the world. Since this is called an information exchange list, I feel obligated to share my secrets of success with all.
It started with one fine toad which spent an entire summer sitting under my bug light gorging itself on Bar-B-Qued bugs. By late August it was so fat its legs could hardly touch the ground. It looked much like a light colored cow pie. Then the El Nino year came with lots of rain and standing water and Toad (I selected a unique name for it) found a fertile mate. I wish I could tell you that I had a hand in selecting the mate because the breeding was so successful. -
