not very groundbreaking
Not exactly a new idea, goverments have been paranoid of "Terrorists" using stego on places like ebay for triggers.
More interesting projects, though off topic slightly; a method of obscuring your network communications and resolving key issues with stego (though I think the project stopped)

They is also much more interesting uses for stego. in files, hdd slack space and this nice little project 4c.

4c (or fourcrypt) is a multiple-file steganography program inspired by Michal Zalewski's twocrypt (2c) program, designed to be "subpoena-proof". It supports mixing between one and eight files with independent keys. The files are architecture-independant (tested on x86 and UltraSparc). -
It's a joke.Why?
- The site is hosted at eprovisia.dione.cc, and dione.cc is something of a Polish linux group's website, of which our friend arturs is a member.
- The "company" is "incorporated" at "Palmyra Atoll, a small nature preserve somewhere near Hawai'i. There's nothing there but nature.
- The geographical co-ordinates are in the postal address: Islet 7, 5 52 N 162 06 W.
- There's no +78 dialling code.
This is a great joke, and once more Slashdot's been had.

Re:bah!Seriously, besides GNU, who else favors info over man? I find the system difficult to navigate. For instance, when I was first learning {,ba}sh... damn, the bash info page sucks.
I always hated using info pages until I came across pinfo, a colorized info/man viewer using arrow keys. That phrase is insufficient to describe its utility. It actually makes info pages useful! Debian has it in package repositories and I'd guess that other Linux distributions, perhaps BSDs, etc. package it.
