Re:Define what you mean
I've always liked the simple solution of enforcing antitrust law. If cable had to open up their network to ISPs like the phone company had to, if there were 10 ISPs in a city like there used to be in the dial-up days, the problem of net neutrality solves itself. As it is today, if you try to open a competing service of any kind the big boys will hire skiddies to DDOS you and goons to personally harass you, and the feds will laugh at you if you ask them to press charges against the FBI/NSA's preferred business partners. Nobody is going to charge Google while they are running the government's war policy.

Re:Not good optics for Reddit
There is no way they're going to prove to anyone now that any controversial moderation decision wasn't forced on them by outside pressure now.
It has already been shown that a relatively small group runs the moderation of both Reddit and Wikipedia and they have some disturbing beliefs and relationships that no one is mentioning because the MSM is not reporting on it, so it's up to places like
/pol/ and other fringe outlets to do the research and reporting. To get on topic, a certain Tom Edwards was Microsoft's head of geopolitical strategy which meant censoring products for the Chinese market. He joined the transgender cult and changed his name to Kate Edwards, then became head of the IGDA and was coordinating with the San Diego FBI to shut down alleged "harassment" of Zoe Quinn in July 2014. Note the date. When the Gamergate scandal broke a month later, Reddit was one of the forums that Shut Down Everything. Four years later, the now heavily censored Reddit attracts $150 million in Chinese investment.

Re:Facebook Story
Let's see what Facebook does ban.
- Facebook banned independent media and activist pages like Free Thought Project, Antimedia, and Cop Block
- Facebook banned the Independent Women's Forum for ad targeting based on gender
- Facebook banned an Israeli news site for running an article on Hezbollah
- Facebook banned another journalist
- Facebook banned muslim Tarek Fatah for opposing extremist Muslims
- Facebook banned the founder of #WalkAway because he mentioned that he would be interviewed by Alex Jones
- Facebook banned a bunch of hippie new age alternative health sites
- Facebook bans a guy from ridiculing Hamas
- Facebook bans a guy from saying "This is a man dressed as a woman. This is not a woman."
- Facebook bans a guy from joking about eating Tide Pods
- Facebook shadowbanned the President of the United States
- Facebook banned the Venus of Willendorf
But an obviously scammy ad is "fully compliant" and meets all of their rules. Funny how that works.

Re:No they don't.
CNN deceptively edited a rioter's speech. What she did was call for the rioters to move their rioting.
> Burnin down shit ain't going to help nothin! Y'all burnin' down shit we need in our community. Take that shit to the suburbs. Burn that shit down! We need our shit! We need our weaves. I don't wear it. But we need it.

Media shows why it's so mistrusted after falsified Trump fish-feeding 'story' http://thehill.com/opinion/whi...
CNN: Trump feeds fish, winds up pouring entire box of food into koi pondThe CNN example includes edited video that zooms in on Trump to only show his face and prevents the viewer from seeing what Japanese Prime Minister Abe was doing at a key point of the short event.
Why was Abe edited out? Perhaps because he took his entire box of fish food and dumped it into the pond. Trump followed Abe's lead and did the same seconds later.
But with the zoom edit cutting Abe out, the viewer or reader - with an assist from the caption Â-- is led to believe only Trump dumped his box. The media was not only blatantly overt, but intentional in its deception.
The greatest danger to our nation comes from a free press that chooses sides in the political process. And that has openly and unapologetically taken place.

Wall Street Journal you say? And the venerable New York Times? I'm sure you're fine then.

Re:Another spoiled citizen.
The media is lying to you. Are you seriously saying we should trust them? WTF? It's like the character in the first five minutes of a dystopia film. The one who shortly gets disappeared.

Re: Better proof than stats is needed.
It's not one example, it's just the latest outrage. It happens all the time. Your news doesn't report on it? Well I kind of doubt they're going to tell you when they're lying. I mean, duh. Watch the alternative media, get out of your bubble. It's been lie after lie after lie. Deliberate lies. I mean, just look at this.
Here's an example of the kind of propaganda the MSM engages in all the damn time. The following New York Times article contains a "minor factual error" that's not at all germane to the topic of the story: it refers to Philando Castille as "an unarmed black cafeteria worker" despite all sorts of reporting to the contrary that he was armed, informed the cop that he was armed, and was high as a kite at the time he reached down fast and sudden to grab his license. That's the sort of "tiny alleged problem" that matters in context.
New York Times prejudiced against India.
"Of all places" is a very patronising way to describe India, which is one of the leading manufacturers in automobile industry with various auto giants having its manufacturing facilities in India. This is not the first time NYTimes has shown its prejudice against India. Earlier, they had published an op-ed about India that was centered around the CBI raids at the residences of Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, the founder promoters of NDTV. The editorial was titled 'India's Battered Free Press' which read like a textbook case of how it has been distorting the truth. NYTimes' former Delhi bureau chief Ellen Barry had also indulged in white-washing the 2002 Godhra carnage where as many as 59 people were burnt alive in a train. She had also spread lies to insult the victims of Godhra carnage in her report on Gulbarg Society verdict. NYTimes also encourages troll-like behaviour while reporting on democratically elected public representatives where being 'liberal' is associated with smoking, drinking and Hindu woman having Muslim friends and boyfriend.

Re:Politics more crazy than US
There is a Korean guy who has been dropping info on 8chan. Do you still think of South Korea as a place for Starcraft and MMOs? Not anymore. It has turned into a social experiment to see how much government control the public will allow if the government claims that it all is being done to protect women. Oh, and the government may have intentionally sunk a ferry full of schoolchildren for some ceremonial purpose because they thought the date was special. Does it sound crazy? All of the other crazy stuff he has said has turned out to be true. One of his latest reports has Park's people flying AntiFa colors, raiding the home of the lead investigator, conspiring to assassinate the chief justice of the constitutional court, and promising bloodshed if Park is impeached.
