Re:Parallels Virtual Machine
You presume that it is impossible to break out of a virtualised environment.
A quick google will turn up papers which may diminish your naivety.
Also IMHO the way to go is VirtualBox (FOSS and made by Soracle).
Small correction - VirtualBox, made by Innotek bought by Sun bought by Oracle.

Re:Virtualization still missing
Like this?

Links
It would have been nice to have a link to Innotek and their product: VirtualBox. Which I am pretty sure is not associated with the dog training products that Google ranks at the top of its search.

Re:Jumped to eComStation and OpenOffice.org
I am just a user but there is a GCC compiler. I think the eComStation-OS/2 version of Mozilla/Firefox uses GCC. I think there is developer stuff on the eComStation CD. Many developers use Open Watcom.

Re:OS/2Endorsed by IBM, a third-party has 1.4.2 is available for OS/2 here.
They also have a version of OpenOffice.org which is based on running the Win32 version natively on OS/2, and not the depricated OS/2 code.
Firefox and Mozilla are also available for OS/2.

Starship Regulars - Flash MoviesShowtime's Starship Regulars is done using Flash. It's a pretty funny Trek parody. You'll want to watch them in order - it defaults to the most current episode so click on the 1 first.
Michael Dorn (Worf in Star Trek) and Diedrich Bader(Oswald on the Drew Cary show) do some of the voices.
Works great using the OS/2 flash plugin too.
