    I can't help but think that either a) DigitalConvergence had grander schemes in the pipes and this CueCat thing was just to be the first, or b) The DigitalConvergence guys were con artists and the whole thing was a scam to get lots of money from VC's. The 260+ other employees were just pawns in a ponzi scheme.

    I choose b) - http://www.jhuttonpulitzer.com/ - is the man to blame for that whole shebang known as DigitalConvergence. Make your own conclusions. I shit you not, that's not a mock site. I know it's hard to believe that the guy is serious with the copy written there about himself.

    Wasn't there an allegation of embezzlement from the ISP he worked for in marketing, whilst starting up his own marketing firm with the budget from the ISP?

    The five guys would be about right. Three execs, a webmaster, and a help desk.

    But all of this could change if they hired Jovan Philyaw/Pulitzer. If anyone can save SCO, it would be the chief marketer of the Cue Cat. Then again, if you get too many people from SCO and M$ in the same room, the negative energy may turn the entire planet into a black hole.

    Given that he has an entire website, I find it very odd that Googling on "J. Hutton Pulitzer" returns NO hits, while Googling on "Jovan Hutton Pulitzer" or just "Hutton Pulitzer" returns only one.

    Presumably he has a robots.txt file set up, but why wouldn't he want Google to find his site easily?

    Googlewhackers: just remember "Hutton Pulitzer"...

    So how exactly do we know that Philyaw is Pulitzer? Nothing I saw jumped out at me as a firm connection. Same with the crystals; where is the connection? They could be for sale by GW for all we know.

    The Pulitzer site claims the company has been around since 1988. And the story was posted by an AC. Hmmm. I smell bullshit. Problem is I can't tell where the smell is coming from. Anyone else?
