Re:God I can't wait for Cali to leave
You don't seem to have any real familiarity with the medium. Allow me to get you started:
The Dennis Prager show (Check out Prager University)
The Hugh Hewitt show
The Eric Metaxas show
The Larry Elder show
The Michael Medved show
The John Batchelor show -
Re:Should be worried about gunfire
None of the scum that killed police recently are Conservatives.
By "recently", you must mean, "this week".

Excuse me,
... while your sleight of hand is impressive (and good for mod points), you aren't playing this straight. The article you link to doesn't list conservatives, it lists white people. That isn't the same. One deals with skin color, the other deals with ideas. There is nothing contradictory about being black and conservative:
Clarence Thomas
Thomas Sowell
Herman Cain
Larry Elder
Sheriff David Clark
Condoleezza RiceAlso note that there doesn't appear to be any common thread among the killers in that article as there is among the killings with connections to either Black Lives Matter or the New Black Panther Party.

Re:Most women basketball players are hideous.
...it just so happens that outside forces "convinced" his employers that his services were no longer needed. Now if we can just get "outside forces" to get Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton fired (oh, that's right, they don't actually "work", per se). The incredible double-standard in this country is just mind-boggling. I never payed attention to Imus before now, but after seeing (repeatedly) his remark and apologies played on the news I'd say that the suspension would have been a good reminder that free speech is not just a right, it's also a responsibility. Firing him, though, pissed me off for reasons that I can't say (because I'm of "Northern European" descent and not entitled to "those feelings")
I'm actually considering listening to whatever show he comes up with next, if for no other reason than spite. I've heard the Rev. Jackson and Sharpton say much more "racially insensitive" things than Imus did, but I suppose that, since it's only insensitive to "white" people, it's acceptable (or to be expected).
From my perspective, firing Imus is going to cause more racial tensions, not less. I know it doesn't suddenly make me all warm and fuzzy, that's for sure. It got me thinking about the people I work with. We only have one person (out of about 120 at my building) that immediately springs to mind as "black". I had to stop and think for a while before I could come up with who some of the rest were (Once I got to thinking about it, I started realizing just how racially diverse my coworkers are. Huh.). I guess I never really considered their race before - they were just co-workers and competent professionals doing their jobs. Like I said, only one person immediately sprang to mind as someone who seems to define themselves by their race.
...Sad. -
I love how easily people are told what to think
A lot of these anti-bush people don't even know what they are talking about. They let the media tell them how to vote. Bush is a bad public speaker, I'll give you guys that, but he is no idiot. I didn't know idiots get degrees and MBAs from Havard and Yale. Go figure.
I also find it funny that Democrates don't even know what Kerry stands for (kind of like he doesn't even know what he stands for) but they again let the media tell them what to do. These are probably the same people who think Michale Moore is a genious, although he doesn't even make documentaries, since documentaries by definition are TRUE.

Re: to /.sig
i have flirted with the libertarian party before. however, like larry elder, if i leave, i am not going get them back to their roots. and, the libertarians have little chance at success. besides, although i am not a fundamentalist of any religion, i find some of the moral positions taken by the democrats unconscionable. i.e. abortion, gay rights, etc. forgive me for being stodgy, but fiscal policy minutiae isn't going to sink our nation, but the moral decay and complete lack of deceny and civility will. (just like rome)

Re:What liberal media?
The debate on this topic is heated and there is definitely no consensus. On one hand you've got journalists who are mostly Democrats or otherwise self-identifying liberals. On the other hand the corporations which actually own the media networks are run by conservatives in most cases.
Larry Elder confronts this topic pretty well in his book "Showdown". One of the most interesting sets of statistics compared the adjectives attached to the words "liberal" and "conservative" in a number of newspapers around the country. He found that politicians were often identified as "hard-line conservatives", but never "hard-line liberals" (to take one example).
There's a brief snippet on his website:

Re:PoliticsI was thinking of the following:
Note that I don't think Gore an idiot. I disagree with him politically but he seems a smart and pleasant person. I question some of his rhetoric as being rather misleading. (Especially his environment book) However one could easily say the same of most politicians.
