    Actually I think they'll be both trumped by the project affiliated with the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Of course in some circles he is venerated as the Buoyant Spaghetti Deity; hence, OpenBSD.

    Hah ! The true form of the BSD mascot is well known. This proves that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is an evil plot ! Just look at the sauce for further evidence - it's clearly the color of blood, so eating spaghetti is equivalent to cannibalism !

    But the meatballs... The meatballs... That means that they are made of...

    You can fairly easily (well, "fairly easily" for some is another man's frustration) configure KDE to look as un-Windowsish as you want. E.g., it will do a context-sensitive screen-top menubar similar to MacOS's, and you can move the KDE menu of applications anyplace you want, or get rid of it completely. (I keep it in the upper left hand corner of the screen, personally.) There are some people who have gone so far as to basically duplicate the MacOS "Aqua" look within KDE: like this.

    My problem with KDE is that the documentation is .... somewhat lacking. Or at least I couldn't find the answers to questions very easily -- it took me more than a week to figure out how to move the menus around in the screen-top menubar when they got stuck on the right hand side. (They sometimes jump over there for no good reason whatsoever when you add another applet.)

    With the rise of all the different type of geeks out there, why not join a gang? For all you Linux and BSD geeks, the streets can be tough. Facing wanna be geeks (Microsoft users) can be harsh, so get protection by becoming a Linux/BSD Gangster.

    All of these articles on firefox, and how terrible its security seem like bs. I'm no browser security expert, but I will say that I have helped many people eliminate spyware just by having users use Firefox (or any other non IE browser) over IE. What am I going to tell my dad and everyone else now that I finally got them using Firefox? I smell M$, and it stinks...sort of like cheap purfume on rotting Man-Ray.     Im sure you guys remember the Looking Glass demo that Sun showed us a year or so back. This article mentions Project Looking Glass, but only explain what it does. Did Sun just throw this up for publicity? Are they ever going to opensource it or make it more widely avaliable?
