It also suggests going to WineHQ to find out which programs will work in wine, and which ones will not, so you dont have to waste all your time testing." -

BugTraq's Elias Levy Talks Security
LiquidPC writes: "UnderLinux.com.br has an interview with the BugTraq moderator, Elias Levy or Aleph1. Questions ranging from what he thinks of 'Hacking Exposed' to whether BSD is more secure than Linux. Kind of short, but interesting nonetheless." He notes the interesting difference between the approaches to security taken by FreeBSD (which he praises) and Linux -- lots of projects vs. a single unified one, and emphasizes that security is ongoing, not defeating any single problem. -

Questions range from 'How do open-source operating systems compare to closed-source operating systems?' to 'What does the future hold for FreeBSD?'" It's a quick interview, but a good read. Interesting that to talk about the Mac OS now is to talk about UNIX. -

Code Red: the Aftermath

It removes the files and mappings installed by the worm, and reboots your system; it also gives you an option to permanantly disable IIS."
