Re:Only things that matter:
Or your sentence makes it seem that the iPad can't view 'ActiveX either' in comparison to the prior list written that the iPad cannot view. The fact that it wasn't clear in your sentence shows you have difficulty portraying your point using common language so you shouldn't really get to say "move along". That's alright though. You are probably a Mac User so you have a feeling of undeserved entitlement but don't want to be caught shilling for the current big bad guy
In regards to your signature and your score, you aren't posting at 0 so why pretend? More illusion of personal grandeur? I'll go with 'yes' -
Re:New NIN single: Steve f*ckers, Inc.
Trent Reznor has been a Mac user and evangelist for the better part of two decades.
His use of Macs go back to "Pretty Hate Machine" and an old Mac Plus.
"I made Pretty Hate Machine using a Mac Plus, an Emax keyboard and a Mini Moog," says Reznor. "That set up was cool because it was so limiting that it forced you to get the most out of what you had to work with. It was just basic MIDI, with no digital audio. But I knew the three pieces of gear I had inside and out."
And now they've pissed him off. Bad idea. Steve, get well soon so you can bitchslap whoever made this boneheaded decision.

Re:Roughly Drafted is not a credible sourcePoke around the site for a few minutes and it will be come really clear that Roughly Drafted is just some moron running a Microsoft hate blog. Chances are these "documents" are either made up or exaggerated. Can you cite a specific instance of Roughly Drafted posting fabricated documents in the past, or is this just an ad hominem attack? I wouldn't go so far as saying RoughlyDrafted "made up" the "documents" like the GP did, but I don't think it's unreasonable for the GP to opine "chances are" Daniel Eran (RoughlyDrafted's writer) "exaggerated."
Daniel Eran, who comments on Slashdot (in the third person) as DECS, often submits his own RoughlyDrafted articles (in the third person) using pseudonyms like "peter deacon", "Redrum", and "rdmreader".
Daniel Eran is also somewhat infamous for being banned from Digg because he tried to game their system by using multiple accounts to "digg" his stories and get them on their front page:

I like Andy Ihnatko's article better

Re:puts Apple in a bind?
"They spent years and countless millions developing the illfated Copeland and nothing came of it."
have you run Classic Mac OS 8? 8.5? 9? i can name a Copland technology that seeped into each!
Mac OS 8: the GUI, Threaded Finder
Mac OS 8.5: V-Twin (better known as Sherlock), Appearance Manager (alows for the never publcly released Hi-Tech, and Gizmo themes from Copland)
Mac OS 9: Multipule Users
funny that the only place i was able to find a (semi)complete article on Copland was in a magazine that isn't even published any more ;)
all links refer to Copland rather then Mac OS 8 or later ^_^ -
