Cell Phone FAQ (Re:Dangers of Microwave radiation)The short answer, as you've noted above, is that there is no evidence of any damage caused by microwaves below energy levels strong enough to cause heating. And, this conclusion was reached after over a decade of research, mostly triggered by that Currents of Death scare-monger book.
For more info, try Cellular Phone Antennas and Human Health, a FAQ page by John E. Moulder, Prof of Radiation Oncology. He even has a section on the Israeli low-level RF health claims.
Dr. Moulder maintains several other radiation-related FAQs, for all your EMF FAQ needs. 8-)

Re:Dateline NBCI just saw cell phones covered on Dateline (I think... one of those shows)
Actually, it was 20/20.
Depending on HOW you hold the phone, many phones far exceeded the safety limits.
Their report was based on science that is, at best, dubious. Here are a few URLs you may want to review if you are interested in the topic:

Linux 6502Don't we see the obvious possibility here? Port Linux to the 6502 processor! That would cover the Apple II series, Commodore 64 series, and countless others.
There's no protected mode, so it would have to be an ELKS-like beast.
Heck, I could even provide archive space--how big could a distro for 64K RAM and 140K disks be?
