Yes, but if you click on the one link they redirect you to, it's all porn. IMO, that's a blatant act of sabotage.

A search for hantavirus returns "All Gangbang - Three-ways, four-ways and more-ways!" in the fourth slot, whereas a search for XFree86 returns "Kara's Amateurs - The one, the only, the original ... Kara's Amateurs!" in the fourth slot.

I'm pretty sure they realize that scientists (interested in hantavirus) are more excited by gangbangs than in amateur videos, whereas computer geeks (interested in XFree86) would rather see the "girl next door" kind of stuff. Extrapolating from that, the NightSurf ranking algorithm looks to be pretty complex; far moreso than that Google "PankRank" nonsense.
