Re:Who caresOr use postfix + Clam.
My mix: postfix, amavis-new (which filters out bad mime types by default on my SuSE box), postgrey (I can't rant about this enough, it's killed 98% of the noise on my domains), ClamAV, and SpamAssassin.

Linux evangelization at Mensa in New OrleansI was contacted back in January by the committee that's putting on MensAGumbo here in July. Apparently RedHat declined their invitation to run a booth or give a presentation, but I readily accepted
:-)I plan on using a variation of these bullet points for my presentation. If any of you slashdotters happen to be at MensAGumbo, please come and cheer me on, say hi, etc.

Re:a mater of resources, Mr. Fart."Take it and your stale nonsense back to Mr. Gates where it comes from and belongs."
You're kidding, right? I own a Linux company. I'm the active leader of a Linux Users Group. I write free software.
Your need to see a doctor about your knee... it jerks too much, don't you think?
I think your post exemplifies my complaints about elitism.

NetBSD firewall is cool :-)
This firewall distro works great. I know everyone likes Freesco, and I use that too on occasion, but I've had the NetBSD firewall running at one of my client's offices for about a year and a half, and it's given me absolutely no trouble at all. Several people in our LUG use it as well.
Great product :-) -
We use 486s all the time...

New Orleans Linux CoopWe are trying to do something similar here in New Orleans.
A bunch of guys from our local LUG (nolug.org) got together and decided to see if we could do a little Linux advocacy, and make a few bucks along the way.

h4kk0r's delightThere was a thread in our LUG's mailing list a few weeks back about Linux boxes being rooted. The kiddies used the hacked boxes for irc takeover bots and warez. One poor soul in particular learned he had been hacked weeks after the intrusion only when he discovered that his 20 gig hard drive was full.
I'll say it again, and listen up this time --- you can't put a Red Hat or other boxed distro box up on the net without turning off all kinds of services and running a locked-down ipchains ruleset, or you are gonna get owned in short order.
