Re:Dual-Booting Can Go Take A Freaking Hike
Amit Singh and his friends at IBM got XP running under VMWare in Linux on an Intel iMac. As he says, "To anybody who has used Windows XP under Virtual PC on the PowerPC version of Mac OS X: you will simply be blown away by how fast Windows XP runs under VMware on the new hardware." So that's good news. Now someone just has to make it work under OS X directly.

Sheeple! I'd be buying a MacbookScrew Lenovo.
- 15.4-inch TFT display with 1440x900 resolution
- 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo with 2MB shared L2 Cache
- 667MHz frontside bus
- 512MB (single SO-DIMM) 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
- 80GB 5400rpm Serial ATA hard drive
- Slot-load SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)
- ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with 128MB GDDR3 memory
But best of all... It runs OS X, Linux and even that other O/S (at high speed) if you're desperate.

Yes. Intel Mac can Run Windows XP..The Windows install disks don't install directly but you can get Linux to boot on an Intel Mac. This should be no surprze because Linux is open source and you can modify it to do what ever you want. OK so Linux is running, next you install VMware and create one or more virtual machines. Next you go get that Windows XP install CD and "it works" Next switch the virtual screen to full screen mode and you can't tell the rsult from "real windows". VMWare is NOT an emulator it best to think of VMware as a kind of "sandbox". OK so the procedure is not effortless but the end result is exactly what was desired.
