Re:need vs want
Sadly, your innovation is invalid by prior art PODS. Be careful for they may come after you. Got deep pockets? (lol)

Re:Open the pod bay doors
...
You also to pass a reasonability test... first off PODS storage is *not* actually called or branded as such, they are an acronym for Portable On Demand Storage (a side business of Public Storage iirc)..
Just an FYI, when commencing an argument, check your facts. This: http://www.pods.com/ doesn't just sorta-kinda negate what you claim - it blows it clean away. Also, so does the container that sits in a neighbor's driveway down the street with foot-high letters P O D S that I can see from a couple of hundred feet away. Not to mention - but I will anyway - the various ones seen being transported and delivered all over the place.
Now you know why I (for one) find your argument, um, unpersuasive.

Real iPODS
Drop a data center in one of these babies and you have yourself a real iPOD!

Misunderstanding
I think they misunderstood what podcasting is all about.

Extra-large iPOD :)
Internet Portable On-Demand Storage
I wonder if these come with iPODZilla? No, it's not a web browser.
Me? I'm waiting for the data center that hangs around your neck. -
Re:There goes my week!
The trademark for PODS, Portable On-demand Storage Systems is owned by Portable On-demand Storage Systems, isn't that what an Ipod does, stores audio and video until demanded in a portable device?

Re:mod parent up
Well considering the the trademark for PODS, Portable On-demand Storage Systems is owned by Portable On-demand Storage Systems, I'm trying to figure out why apple's system of storing audio and video information until demanded my the user in a portable device called an iPod isn't a trademark infingement; but hey I'm not a lawyer.

Re:Yeah...
Did someone forget the Portable On Demand Storage http://www.pods.com/ units?

PODS
When I hear the word pod, I think of PODS, Portable On-Demand Storage. iPod is a blatant ripoff of PODS, since the iPOD just "stores" your electronic crap, just like a POD stores your physical crap.
I think they should be able to trademark iPod, but not the word pod. Besides the pod has been in the dictionary for quite a long time.

Well I guess...
That the "PODS" storage people http://www.pods.com/ need to watch out because aparently they are just profiting off the iPod craze. You know I always found it hard to tell the difference between a large metal storage box and a pocket sized MP3/Video player. I'm glad to hear that eventually I won't have to think for myself anymore. Not to mention we are going to have to kill off the rest of the whale in the world how dare they travel in Pods!!! I always wonder why I didn't buy an iPod and this is why. Neither of the 2 items this story is about will be confused with them but they don't care. Next it will be anything with the letter "i" in it can't be used in a product name as it might confuse people into thinking Apple make the item.
