ergo is an art as much as a scienceLook at something that was posted here before. Surey not what you're looking for, but still really neat (they have good ideas).
Some of the other comments here mention building from scratch. That should provide the best results *if* you are a good carpenter. It takes a lot of skill to get something exactly right. And most people don't think of the subtle details which are the difference between a crappy desk and good ergo. A 3 degree decline here, 2 inches shorter there and you've got a completely different feel.
I'd expect to end up using the build-up for 2 weeks and then come up with 10 ideas to improve it, rework it, and repeat.

Re:We've seen Aura before
The press release says the base model costs $5500 US. http://www.poetictech.com/news/news.html.

The Aura
Has anybody tried this crazy controlled office workspace? Its got its own air circulation system, space enough for about four monitors, a built-in, badass looking chair, and it rotates. It's also got its own built-in electrical sockets.
It costs $5500. Looking at some of the desks out there today and how much they cost, I'm thinking it's not such a bad idea.

wearable timeframe
Given what I've seen of wearable computing so far, and with other technologies, such as the embedded chips that can be used by a "smart" building to tell where you are and whether you are authorized to enter certain rooms, I would guess that useful, wearable computing would really hit its stride in another two to three years. Maybe five at the outside.
Of course, this begs the Faustian question, just because you *can* wear a computer, should you? or would you want to? I think my cell phone is a big enough "leash" already, would I want to wear a computer to fix problems even when I'm not at work? No...
Besides, I'd much rather just have the Aura workstation desk...

Put the PC into a corner
I can recommend using a rooms corner.
Put a simple, cubic stand/drawer box into the corner as monitor stand and place a table in front of it (blocking access to the stand/drawer box) for your keyboard etc. Then you have plenty of space on your table, hidden all the cabling (behind the desk) and a good distance to your monitor.
There are commercial solutions as "corner desks". Maybe you might want to try one of these...
If you have too much money, you might want to have a look at this quite representative PC workstation(http://www.poetictech.com/)... -
Uhhh... That one is 'OK'... *This* one ROX.
If you haven't seen This one, then you just haven't lived... Not cheap, but it looks like it's worth it. A friend sent me the link to the ZDNET article chair, but it doesn't compare! OH, for those that replied and said 'I don't know if I could fit my computer in there...', this Aura chair environment fits 4 monitors and a computer. Be sure and click on all the links for all the info. Ahhh, to dream...

MAD overpriced
This is a joke for >$6k. The Aura from PoeticTech is cheaper and much better without thinking twice.
The only thing that the ``BackStation'' has going for it is the vertical tilt. It's still an extremely lacking environment for too high a price. -
Re:No, THIS is the chair you need!
I just had to laugh when I saw the 'rotation' pic. It looks more like a tilt-a-wheel than a high-tech cubicle.
Much cooler than the than the 'backstation'. And the 4 flat panels on the upscale model look so nifty. If this thing is only $5.5k, where is all the money going on that $6300 'alien furniture technology' chair? I guess they have to pay their alien consultants for their expertise and travel time. -
No, THIS is the chair you need!
For only $ 5,500 for the single monitor unit, you can get Poetic Technologies' Aura chair instead. It's way cooler than this thing, and costs less.
