South Atlantic's first hurricane? Probably never happened before.

1977 U.N. treaty banning military created earthquakes and tsunamis. Isn't that interesting.

However, I know from experience that disagreeing with the premises of a Slashdot story means this comment will remain at 1 or below. Yeah, reframing the argument is probably off topic on the post-911/idiotized Slashdot.

One of their opinions was that climate change is already underway. Essentially the switch was flipped some fifty or so years ago.

The first known government funded weather experiment was in 1890. And by now much of the weather may be under the control of man. What is the evidence of weather control? I don't claim any of this as evidence, but I do find it interesting:

How would your steer a hurricane? Hurricanes are steered by high/low pressures and wind currents. By heating or cooling large enough sections of the troposphere you might control updrafts/downdrafts and create the steering high/low pressures. Technologies to heat up the atmosphere: HAARP perhaps?

The 2004 tsunami? The U.N. had a convention in 1977 discouraging military induced earthquakes and tsunamis.

It's easy to be spun off into the dialectics of whether global warming is true or false, or whether it's global warming or global cooling. But why not man made global weather control? You create a weather crisis that allows you to bring in weather control that people will be more inclinded to accept. Purpose: a control mechanism for a one world government.

This is a lot of fear mongering.

In Florida, from jet trails alone, one can start out with a completly clear day and end up with total cloud cover as they grow and grow. I don't remember so many thick jet trails in the past. So I doubt scientists are worried about cloud cover, especially when it seems somebody is intent on creating it.

Weather control? You decide.

When I see three hurricanes intersecting in one season at the towns of Homeland and Ft. Meade I wonder if the government can control the weather. Do I believe it? Not really. But I suspect it.

ENMOD gives a state nuclear power without all the lingering radiation. Note all the media comparisons of hurricane and tsunami power to equivalent Hiroshimas. If there's going to be a new world order it must be policed by force. Right? Uncooperative nations get tsunamied. Cooperative nations get favorable weather for growing crops. Do I believe it? I suspect it. It doesn't make it true.

...99% chance that if the human race gets wiped out in the next hundred years it won't be from natural causes. It will be from our fellow man.

This will be marked off topic I'm sure. One might consider it ho-hum that four hurricanes striking Florida in a single season as unprecedented. Precedents are broken all the time. But what is extrordinary is that three of those hurricanes intersected (intersected!, three of them) over the towns of Ft. Meade Florida and Homeland Florida. What are the odds that symbolically our "National Security" and "Homeland" where threatened in a new era of state sponsored... Ah well, never mind. Just look at the maps:
