Re:Vs. Mailinator
I've always used Spamhole and I've never been disappointed. The interface is pretty simple, but it works, and frankly, that's all that matters.

spamhole
This isn't that new of a concept, Spamhole has been doing this for years now. Though, some of the major server-side spam blockers will filter out spamhole before it ever reaches your inbox.

Legislative solutions are never going to work
Legislative solutions are never going to work. If legislators ever manage to pass a useful anti-spam bill, spammers will simply move to countries where the laws are not in effect. Technical solutions are required. http://spamhole.com/Spamhole.com and dodgeit are examples of working solutions that dont require lobbying and aren't limited by borders.

Re:The problem with Mailinator...
Then you can use spamhole or spamgourmet and set it to some mailinator address!
-
Re:No, it isn't free
Well, why don't you just use a service like Spamhole to avoid e-mail signups? That's what I use.
If I remember correctly, none of my FilePlanet info is real. I just use my usual Spamhole address, and then type in random stuff. Works great =) -
Re:Just pay with cash
Yup, except for that pesky mailing thing. Unless you know of a way to get a free temporary PO Box, or home address like spamhole?

Re:Stop sending me back the e-mail!
spamhole.com works just fine for me.
-
Same name
Spamhole is the name of a temporary e-mail redirection service, good for those times when you need to submit an address for a verification code but don't want the company's spam to fill your inbox afterward (why would you?).
-
Another nice "spamhole" projectspamhole.com!
It lets you set up a temporary forwarding address, which can be very useful for those "free registration" things that just scream "SPAM!".

Re:Holy Crap.Well, I just registered 15 numbers - all of our incoming lines to the company I work for, plus my cell phone and home number. The site only allows 3 numbers per email address, so the best way around it is to register at SpamHole with number of different addresses, all forwarding back to a Hotmail or Yahoo account.
So, the 41 million doesn't really tell a whole lot in terms of how many numbers there are in the country versus the number of people. I'm sure there's a way to find out, though. Anyone have any ideas?

You did use SpamHole, right?
You did have the foresight to open a SpamHole temporary email address to use when you submitted to the DoNotCall list, right? Seems pretty obvious to me.

Re:ouchSpam Hole offers this service also.

If you think you might get Spam...
...for registering for something somewhere get a free temporary email address at Spamh0le.
You can set up your account to forward email to your real address for as long as you want, and from then on it gets forwarded to their
/dev/null. Handy, to say the least.
