    Their investigative methods seem a bit sketchy in this case...but anyone interested in this might also want to check out the Taos hum phenomenom. The government's alleged involvement in sound weaponry is also dramatized in a pretty decent X-Files episode.

    I'm not trying to pass off either of the above sources as remotely scientific, for the record. :)

    According to the X-Files news section, Sky One will air Season 9 in the UK beginning 5 April at 9PM, with repeats on Monday at 10PM. Also in the UK, BBC2 will air Season 8 in the Spring. Season 9 is tentatively scheduled for Autumn 2002.

    For people in other countries:

    Australia's Network 10 will air Season 9 in July.

    In Denmark, TV2 will air Season 9 in late April.

    Norway will get Season 9 in September on TV2.

    HMG in Holland is currently running Season 8, and they are expected to begin Season 9 in late September.

    TV4 in Sweden is also currently showing Season 8. They will air Season 9 in September as well.

    Just as a bit of trivia to round out the end of the thread on a nice note...

    Xena learned to act at the William Davis Centre (a picture/quote from her is currently on the front page).

    The school was founded by William B. Davis, who is better known as X-file cult favorite, The Cigarette Smoking Man .

    A lot of people here seem to have stopped watching the X-Files entirely since the film, so whatever happens the x-files is already dead to them.

    I am actually not so displeased that she is leaving. Robert Patrick gives a rock-solid performance as Doggett(apparently I'm not the only one since he won an award for best television actor).

    The departure of Scully will hopefully allow Carter(if he wants to) to be more creative by letting loose the ties of the past. I for one will be tuning in to watch Patrick's character(Doggett) evolve. Krycek's dead, so there's one block of the whole conspiracy dead, now they just need to kill off the rest once and for all.

    From The X-Files Official News Page says: "Robert Patrick joins the cast of The X-Files as a series regular. While not replacing David Duchovny, Robert is committed to appear in all of Season Eight."

    one addition: the x-files site is included in this whole debacle. I was enraged when i saw that i couldn't get to that site, so i decided to disbale javascript on netscape and it let me in with no questions asked.
