    I've been following this project for a couple of years now. Tiny ERP is an open-source Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite written in Python and uses PostgreSQL.

    It's a client server application, with the client available on Windows, Linux and Mac. The server will run on Linux.

    It has HR and many other modules that you can use. And you can use one module or many modules for your installation. It will also allow you to integrate with your existing data sources. Check it out.

    Oh, and I don't work for them, just like the software.

    I'm also in a small shop with four people, we do general network planning and setup for local companies. Personally, I've been investigating the viability of TinyERP for the job. I'd imagine that a lot of the replies received will mention the same packages as in this recent slashdot article. http://ask.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/05/11/21 25226

    I certainly won't cry dupe because I was looking for more discussion on the issue!

    More open source self-destruction. TinyERP is not tiny. It's huge.

    Lots of editing errors on the home page. They picked photos of flaky-looking people to represent the product.

    If you were thinking in spend $35.000 to get an specific app, you will be happier if you need to spend a lot less ... :)

    Take a look at http://tinyerp.com/ if does everything you want and a lot more, maybe you will find it interesting. Yes it is an almost full featured ERP+CRM but the stock modules are pretty complete. They have the multiwarehouse you need, the backtrack and some aditional niceties.

    You can use too http://compiere.org/, but from my experience with both packages, Compiere is heavier, harder to configure and uses Oracle, TinyErp uses postgresql is writen in python and is very easy to get a test bed working.

    TinyERP, GPL licensed. Note: home page is in French. And the fact that it's GPL does not mean you can download it for free from the author's website.
