Re:Microsoft LifeCam Cinema
I have some Microsoft LifeCam Cinema cameras. Running them for a security camera and also for a bird / nest cam. I have it at 640x360 right now on ustream : http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bird-nesting-cam I was able to buy some 30' USB cables that you can string 3 together from Monoprice http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030304&p_id=6149&seq=1&format=2 and then also used a dome from ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170449248831&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_3432wt_1040 To house the camera. it is not PTZ, and you have to hack the dome a bit to get the camera to fit, but it is what is doing the feed for the nest cam.

Spurious G ratings for experienced players
If you have too many G rating you will of course not be allowed on most servers.
But if an experienced player of previous games in the same genre ends up randomly matched with less skilled players due to too few games played to establish an Elo ranking, expect a significant number of spurious Gs due to the vast skill differentials. Let's say Jin8, one of the half-dozen players worldwide who have achieved the "Grand Master" grade on Tetris The Grand Master 3: Terror-Instinct, has just signed up on your puzzle game server. He could play falling block games almost with his eyes closed, as shown in the famous video starting at 5:10. Blink, one of the respected members of Hard Drop Forum, isn't quite as skilled as Jin8, but he can still clear 40 lines in a hardcore Tetris clone in under 30 seconds (compare my 60 second time and casual players' 120 second times), and even videos of him "sucking" at a casual Tetris game are probably far better than you could do. Would they be a 3 or a G?
And some servers will require that you have a certain consistency to be allowed to play.
Then how does a new player earn consistency if very few servers allow players who haven't already earned consistency to play?

Re:Wait a second...
I don't have the exact numbers, and I didn't watch CPU temps closely, but playing the same Flash video stream (a particular UStream stream,) I got 10-35% CPU load on IE and ~73 C GPU temperatures, and 50% CPU load on Opera, and about ~68 C GPU temperatures.
(Laptop is a ThinkPad T60p with a Core Duo 2.0 GHz and an ATI Mobility FireGL V5200.)

Third (and final) meeting being broadcast Thursday
For those interested, the third and final meeting will be broadcast Thursday, running from 8am - 4pm EDT:
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/NASA-TV-HD
http://www.hobbyspace.com/nucleus/index.php?itemid=14237
http://twitter.com/search?q=%23nasahsfI think the Thursday meeting will be the most interesting one, as it'll include the presentations from the "Exploration Beyond Low Earth Orbit" subgroup. Some options the subgroup is studying include not just the "Moon Base" plan, but also plans for going directly to Mars ASAP, as well as a "Flexible path" option which would involve manned trips to destinations in shallow gravity wells, like L1, asteroids and Phobos.
The videos from the Tuesday and Wednesday meetings aren't available yet, but you can find out much of what's been discussed already at the following links:

mariomarathon
I had some friends, Mario Marathon, just recently raise $29,000 in 96 hours playing 7 Mario Brothers games. They raised money for Child's Play. Last year they raised $12,000.
The single smartest thing I think they did was to off-load the broadcast of the event to ustream.tv.
Some amazing amounts of money ($70,000 in 5 days) has been raised by such marathons.
Very cool.

Re:Cynicism
So yeah, seems like match the profile pretty well, but so what? What are you going to do about it? I mean, do you want to learn to interact normally in society and get close to people and not feel like you're walking on eggshells all the time? On the other hand if you're happy how you are, there's of course no reason to change.
Also, about LVO3, I don't know who you were working with before, but the best stuff they have is online, and super-cheap, too. Some of it's free, check it out. The 8 traits of charisma is pretty good, and most importantly applies to all areas of your life. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/8-traits-of-charisma I really like it. -
"no news if it is playable"
Some kid was streaming the game on ustream.tv the other day. The recorded videos should still be up. I think he played through the game up to the space part of the game. Edit: Looks like he is still streaming. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/*live*-spore
