Re:What a waste of money
When it happens it will probably be on Emulation.net.

Re:You got to wonder
The site seems to be here: http://emulation.victoly.com/ Must admit I couldn't find any Lisa emulators on the site, but did find this link: http://lisa.sunder.net/

Pirates! is emulated
I want to play Pirates!, HL2, and Doom 3. That's basically it. Pirates! will get ported (I'm guessing, but it's not that important)
Pirates! is already ported, provided that you run the game in an emulator for one of the systems that the original version ran on. If you still want to play pirate, I'm pretty sure that eDonkey and BitTorrent clients are available for Mac OS X.

Hands down for the best e-reading experience...
I started reading ebooks on my old palmIIIx to see if the convenience would make up for the crappy reading experience. About 2 years ago I got a clie NX 60, mainly for the screen and the wireless. Now I'm totally hooked cuz I can read one handed in the dark whenever I have a spare couple of minutes, and I can carry A BUNCH of books. I've borrowed a couple of Pocket PC's to compare and in my estimation they don't . It's just to hard to beat the bright color 320x480 hires screen which translates to more and sharper text on the screen. P.S. I also work from a powerbook and convert lot's of books from Project Gutenberg with Pordible for OS 10. As for pay for play books, you can buy most books for mobipocket or palm reader, which both support some kind of anti-aliased fonts.

Non-photo-realism
I really like the trend in indie gaming twoards non-photorealism. These games are supposed to look GOOD, but not REAL. This allows developers to focus more on gameplay. The retro kick makes it even cooler.
Two freeware examples of surrealist games (which are a hell of a lot of fun) that come instantly to mind are :
Noiz2sa (OS X Port)
RRootage (OS X Port) -

Rrootage and Noiz2Sa
While they might not have the world's most descriptive titles, you'd do well to check out Rrootage and Noiz2sa
They're both highly abstract top-down shooters with pretty cool graphics. It's quite difficult to describe them with words -- the only way to experience them is to just play them. There are also windows ports availible somewhere. -
