Who wrote the Zune Web site text??Did anyone take a look at the web site for the Zune Store? Someone seemed to be trying just a little too hard to sound hip, and it comes off sounding hilarious. For example, from http://www.zune.net/en-us/meetzune/zunetozuneshar
i ng.htm"Mama always said to share. Now you have an opportunity to do it with music and photos. With wireless Zune to Zune sharing you can send your favorite tracks and photos to friends.[1]
Picture this: You're walking down the street. Or you're in a room with a bunch of friends. Or at a concert. Or at the airport. Or on the bus (you get the picture) and then you whip out your Zune and see all these other Zune devices around that you can choose from. Zap! You're connected to your best friend and send the new song your band recorded in the garage last weekend. Another friend gets the hilarious podcast your kid brother made at school, plus that song you just downloaded from the Zune Marketplace and can't get out of your head. And hey, lookee here, your friend wants to send you something that you might like and buy, too."you gotta love the cool talk complete with a foot note to remind you about the DRM on the sharing

Re:Article writer lacking in reading comprehension
Since Zune is a separate offering that is not part of the Plays For Sure ecosystem...
Let me help you.
It does NOT say that the Zune is not Plays For Sure compatible.
Zune Player says:
Import your media from iTunes®, Windows Media® Player.[3]
[3] Zune software can import audio files in unprotected .WMA, MP3, AAC; photos in JPEG; and videos in .WMV, MPEG-4, H.264.
Don't you think if it was a Plays For Sure device that that would be part of their marketing?? -
Re:but can Zune become the new iPod? No.Yes, I would agree with you, my media player sells extra AC adapters in case you loose one, like I did. But why would MS say:
quote: Zune AC ApadterWhether you're at home, at work, or away with friends, you can use the Zune AC Adapter to charge your Zune without hooking it up to a computer. With the AC Adapter, your Zune will be 90% charged after only two hours, and fully charged in about three hours.
That makes me think that out of the box you can only charge with through the computer. Although the Zune specs say charging is 3 hours 90% @2 hours, so that would imply it includes the AC adapter, but the AC adapter implies you need to connect it to the computer to charge, arrrgg soo confusing! -
Re:but can Zune become the new iPod? No.Yes whatever will Apple do about the Zune? Microsoft don't include either a cable for syncing or an AC adaptor. The Zune is pretty useless out of the box. If they are both part of that ($99) pack then surely it's because it's not already included. http://www.zune.net/en-us/accessories/zune/zuneho
m eavpack.htmInteresting I can't see anywhere on the Zune site where it actually states that the Zune comes with headphones. Does it? If it does include them then what are they like?
